100 Centre Street follows the lives of judges and lawyers as they work to keep the streets of New York safer. Through Manhattan's Night Court, criminals are prosecuted and the stories of the trials and the crimes are told. The series was basically a knock off of
Law and Order and marked the efforts of A&E to produce original dramas. The show focused more on the personal lives of the characters on the show rather then on the cases as many crime dramas did at the time. In total, 31 episodes of the series aired to less than stellar critical acclaim and low ratings.
Directed by Sidney Lumet, the series aired form 2001-2002. The show starred Judge Rifkind (
Alan Arkin) and Judge Sims (
LaTanya Richardson) as they bring justice while dealing with their own person lives as well.
