The Artist Formerly Known As Spot: When an art critic deems Spot’s painting to be the most brilliant thing she’s ever seen, Cruella decides to exploit the fowl’s ability for personal gain. When Lucky, Rolly and Cadpig hear of this, they decide to snap their friend out of her delusion of fame, though when she refuses to speak with them because she’s now a talented artist, they realize they’ll need to resort to unorthodox measures.
The Nose Knows: When Lieutenant Pug decides that Rolly isn’t Bark Brigade material, he decides to put him up to one final test in order to see whether or not he can remain. When his friends hear of this, they decide to help him cheat in order to let him stay in the Bark Brigade, though Rolly proves to have little confidence in his own abilities.

Episode Quotes |
| |
Spot: Dear Lucky. I know it must be complicated for a mere puppy to understand the complex in the life of an artiste, but for the first time in my life, I feel appreciated; I feel needed.
Cadpig: I feel nauseous. | Rolly: Let’s face it, guys. I’m just no good at this stuff.
Cadpig: Oh, come on, Rolly! Think positively!
Rolly: Okay, I’m positive I’m no good. |

Episode Title: The Artist Formerly Known As Spot
This is a reference to the musician named Prince Rogers Nelson, who is most commonly known as Prince. In 1993, Prince changed his name to a symbol that could not be pronounced because the symbol was nothing more than an image. During this time, he was referred to as ‘the artist formerly known as Prince’, though Prince began calling himself Prince again in May of 2000. |
