Cruella has recently learnt that Roger and Anita were never actually married, due to a false priest who performed their marriage, so she decides that she must stall their honeymoon in order to obtain the deed to their farm. Realizing this, Lucky and his friends decide to split up in order to help Roger and Anita get to the church on time, as well as to slow down Cruella’s schemes to split the couple apart.

Episode Notes

The three part series finale was released on Video CD shortly after it aired on television, though the Video CD contained musical segments that didn’t air on television. This episode contained a musical song entitled ‘Surf Puppies 101’, which showed the Dalmatians on the beach that they visited in this episode, though the musical segment focused mostly on the side characters, rather than the main characters. Chronologically, this musical scene would have taken place right after Lucky and Rolly get on Cruella to use her as a surfboard in the episode.

Episode Quotes

Lucky: Okay everybody, huddle up. If we don’t do something fast, Cruella’s gonna mess up Roger and Anita’s wedding plans.
Rolly: She’s already messed up our vacation.
Cadpig: Don’t think of this as a vacation. Think of it as a mission to stop Cruella from getting the farm!

(Roger and Anita just opened up the door to the Honeymoon Suite)
Roger: Alright, now we’re talking!
Anita: But, what about Cruella?
(Cruella charges into the room, taking Anita with her)
Cruella: Not to worry; Anita and I will share the room, and you, Rangoon, can sleep on the bus!
Roger: Excuse me?!
Cruella: Well, after all, you two aren’t really married. What kind of a cat are you?
Anita: I hate to say it, but technically, she’s right.

(Lucky woke up to discover Cruella sneaking out of the motel)
Rolly: Huh? Red alert, Cruella’s sneaking out!
(Cadpig wakes up, she knocks Rolly off of his ledge)
Cadpig: Who? Huh?
Rolly: Hey, man, I was in the land of happy pork chops.
Lucky: Not now, Rolly! You and I will see what Cruella’s up to. Cadpig, you stay behind and keep an eye on Roger and Anita.
Cadpig: Okie-dokie!

(Jasper just tricked the Dearlys into going on a detour by using a painted wall)
Horace: Where do you get your ideas?
Jasper: Eh, seen it in a cartoon once.

Cruella: There, the Drearys are off on a wild goose chase! That should delay their wedding long enough for me to get the farm. Now, let’s get back to Grutely.
Lucky: Not in this truck they won’t. I’m gonna disconnect the ignition wires just like I saw in a Thunderbolt show.
(Lucky inadvertently hotwires the car, getting electrocuted in the process)
Rolly: I thought you were turning it off, not turning it on!
Lucky: Okay, so I didn’t see the whole episode.

(Cruella is spying on Roger from behind an umbrella)
Cruella: Excellent, Rhombus is alone. This will be a perfect chance for me to test my ‘Sexy Girl at the Beach’ costume. I’ll have that marriage broken up in no time! (to Horace and Jasper) What are you waiting for? Inflate me!

(Cruella is walking towards Roger wearing her inflatable disguise)
Cadpig: Oh no! Men are suckers for that inflatable look! We gotta stop that blowfish, she’s evil!
Cruella: (to Roger, masking her voice) Well, hello hunkalicious; cowabunga moo-doggy. What say we hang ten, dud? Er, dude?
Roger: (slowly) Hello, do you speak English?
Cruella: Ooh, surf’s up! Let’s you and me catch a wave!
(Spot charges into Cruella’s inflatable outfit, sending her flying into the air)

(The Dalmatians just found out that Roger signed a baseball contract)
Lucky: This has to be a mistake.
Cadpig: The stench of Cruella’s treachery is all over this like a fish taco in the hot sun, or am I stating the obvious?
(Roger walks up towards Anita)
Roger: Well, I’ve seen enough for today.
Anita: I bet you have! How could you choose baseball over our wedding?
(Anita tosses him the contract) What? Huh, what’s this? Cucarachas? Venezuela? Oh no! No, oh no, Anita, wait! Come on! There’s been a mistake, really. This, I didn’t do it!
(Anita gets onto a motorcycle and drives up towards Roger)
Anita: Maybe it’s a good thing we were never married in the first place! (Anita tosses her wedding ring on the ground) There!
Cadpig: (to Lucky and Rolly) It’s up to us to keep this nuclear family from splitting like an atom. (She picks up the wedding ring and jumps into Anita’s purse) I’ll take care of Anita; you just get Roger to the church on time!

Episode Goofs

When Lucky inadvertently hotwired Horace and Jasper’s semi-truck, he told Rolly that it was only driving at five miles per hour. However, the truck was obviously going much faster than that, in accordance with how fast the background scenery was moving.

Horace and Jasper went over the waterfall at the end of the last episode, but Cruella called them roughly six hours later and they were still sitting at the bottom of the lake. They shouldn’t have been in the lake after all that time had passed, though since they were still there, they shouldn’t have been able to hold their breath for that long.

At the end of the episode, Anita gets onto a motorcycle and drives off just moments after she gets angry at Roger. This shouldn’t have happened since people need a separate license to operate a motorcycle, which Anita didn’t have as she never owned a motorcycle. Also, the motorcycle came out of nowhere, as there wasn’t a place to rent a motorcycle nearby and Anita didn’t bring it with her, so the fact that she had a motorcycle to ride in the first place isn’t possible.

Cultural References

When Cadpig started to alert the barking chain about Roger and Anita being out of gas, one of the responders was a coyote who was chasing a roadrunner. This was a reference to the Looney Tunes cartoons involving Wile. E. Coyote and Road Runner.
