A pair of very different sisters, Kat the feminist and Bianca the social climber, start at a new high school and must contend with their overprotective dad at home.

Bianca arranges a charity event for the cheerleading squad to impress Chasity. But her plan ends up raising more questions than money. Will Bianca get her flowers? Will Cameron ever get the guts to express his feelings? While Bianca waits for her carnations to arrive, Kat deals with a stalker and wonders in secret whether Patrick will send her a carnation.

Bianca’s determination to get to a party with some of the coolest kids in school leads her to turn for help to Cameron who, of course, is perfectly willing to do whatever she needs. But it also could get her in trouble with her dad, who has forbidden her from attending the party. Will she be successful in her party pursuit?

After Bianca falsely tells Chastity that she’s dating an older guy to try to rid herself of her goody two-shoes reputation, Chastity sees Bianca “canoodling” with her geometry teacher and instantly starts the rumor around school that the two are dating. What happens when Bianca’s attempt at being popular ends up turning her into the subject of some really juicy gossip?

Determined to become an active environmentalist, Kat enrolls in shop class to convert her gas-guzzling car into a biodiesel vehicle. As the only girl in the class, Kat realizes that she needs to do more than fix cars to break the stereotype that girls can do anything boys can do. Will she be able to show the guys up in class, including Patrick Verona?

Being a needy high school student who wants to be popular prompts Bianca and her friend, Dawn, to set-up a web show pay site (with Cameron's help). The cam show isn't a hit though until the girls take the action to a more risque level. Which is where things get a little "Katy Perry".

Meanwhile, Kat goes to war with the school over the grading policies of Ms. Summers. But she's the one who ends up learning a painful lesson about friendship and being so driven that you forget everything else.

A brush fire emergency the has residents evacuated to Padua High where Bianca tries one more time to impress Chastity. This time though Chastity wants a private room all to herself and Bianca is the one saddled with finding it.

Meanwhile, Kat and Patrick end up on the rooftop alone and one is hoping to express something deeply personal.

When Bianca gets asked to Padua High’s Fall Fling by Beau Bradley, the captain of the soccer team, she sets out to convince Patrick to take Kat to the dance since their father has prohibited Bianca from dating until Kat does. Will Patrick give in to Bianca’s plea?

Meanwhile, Cameron overhears Beau talking about taking Bianca to a hotel after the dance, so he puts into action a plan that will help keep a watchful eye over her and thwart any advances by Beau.

When Daddy's away his girls will play! Dr. Walter heads out of town that is and Kat and Bianca throw a house party that has both girls getting wild in their own way. While Patrick tries to clear the air with Kat, Bianca believes she's on the verge of becoming a legend. And Cameron...eats some "loaded" watermelon.

Padua High is about to become a battle ground when Kat, our ever liberal-minded activist, (along with sidekick Mandella) stages a walkout at when the school enforces a new, much stricter, security policy and dress code (school uniforms). Will she get excited when someone breaks out the chains?

Meanwhile, Bianca is sneaking around with a new fling and Cameron is finding it hard to get over the girl that he's been smitten with since the moment he met her.

Bianca is terrified Chastity will find out that she kissed Joey and knows Chastity won't stop looking until she finds out who it is that betrayed her.
