24: Day 8: 4:00P.M. - 5:00P.M.
Jack is back, this time in New York City spending time with his granddaughter. However, when a former contact comes to him with vital information on an upcoming terrorist assassination attempt, Jack has no choice but to become involved and take the man to CTU. But to get to CTU, they first need to survive a whole bunch of terrorists all trying to kill them. Meanwhile, Chloe struggles to settle in at her new position at the upgraded CTU, and President Allison Taylor negotiates with Middle Eastern leader Omar Hassan over weapons inspections... unaware that Hassan is the assassins' target. Also, a journalist named Meredith Reed is suspected to have direct ties with the on-going terrorist crisis.

Episode Notes
This is the first season and episode to have the plotlines take place in New York City and Washington D.C. It was Los Angeles in the first few seasons, then it all took place in Washington D.C., and now, "New York Gets Jacked".
This is the first episode to feature the new CTU Director Brian Hastings.
FOX hosted a competition where fans could win a pre-screening of this episode, which took place on January 13th in New York City. The competition was basically that the first 300 people to send a message to a specific FOX e-mail address would get tickets to the pre-screening.
Kim's daughter Teri has been named after Kim's long-lost mother, Terri. We know Terri from the first season of 24 as Jack's wife.
This is the first episode to feature the new upgraded CTU in New York City.

Kim: No, they cleared him two weeks ago. He's finished with treatment. I don't know. My father's been on his own for so long. Maybe he doesn't know how to live any other way.

Kim: We talked to him about moving to LA the night we got here.

This episode introduces the long-lost CTU. We heard CTU Los Angeles was dismantled in the beginning of season 7, and first now, CTU "returns" (although it is in New York City with brand new workers).
