Show Slang
"Open up a socket":
The command "open up a socket" was given very often in the first three seasons, usually to CTU analysts/hackers such as Jamey (season 1) or Chloe (season 3). It refers to the connection between two network applications.

Catchphrases:
Jack Bauer and the late Tony Almeida both share one thing: they have recurring manners of speech. While Tony used to tilt his head to the side and say "Alright?" all the time, Jack usually screams "Dammit!" very often. Both these expressions have become subject to 24 drinking games and have their own fandom.

Time:
There are several expressions uttered frequently throughout the show regarding time. These include "I don't have time for this" and "We're running out of time". Apparently, this is used to emphasize the show's real-time aspect and remind the viewer that the clock is ticking.
