Mother Dearest - Recap

Dixon walks up to Oscar and punches him. Oscar jumps back to his feet,
locks eyes with Dixon and nods, then steps aside.

The girls are shopping. Adrianna needs a dress for a red carpet event.
Naomi wants to train her on how to work the photo ops. They find her a
gorgeous dress. She takes a call from her manager, telling her that
she's got a date with Joe Jonas for that evening. She has to cancel on
Navid.

Annie and Charlie are talking. She says who she most admires is Margaret
Thatcher. Charlie says not acceptable. She just needs to be herself, and
pick who she actually cares about.

Ryan arrives to see Jen, and she's dressing the baby up for a photo
shoot. He poops, and so she hands him off to Ryan for cleaning. She's
going to a show of baby fashions, and hopes to get some baby advice.
Diapers for instance. Cloth or disposable, Ryan thinks, but no. She
wonders if there's any way around them. They totally ruin the lines of
the baby's clothing.

Annie dumps Dixon's mail on him. She says he really needs to start
giving some serious thought to where he wants to attend college. He
opens the first big envelope without looking and reacts in shock. It's
the divorce papers. They discuss the fact that Deb still wears her ring.
Dad probably hasn't even noticed. They decide it's up to them to let him
know.

Navid and his dad are out for lunch. He tells him that what he needs to
tell him isn't easy, it's about his work. Navid finally tells him that
one of the girls in his movie was underaged. He appreciates Navid
telling him, and tells him he did the right thing, and he's going to
straighten this out. He's happy when he goes to meet Liam and Dixon to
go surfing. Liam tells them Laura knows he'll do whatever she asks for
the purse biz, but not the shoe biz. The guys chat some more, and make a
few jokes. They ask Dixon why he hit Oscar, so he tells them right
before Ivy pulls up. She asks to talk to Dixon alone. He listens, but he
won't look at or talk to her. She says she still loves him, but he says
she should have thought of that before.

Navid finds Adrianna looking for him. She tells him they can hang out at
the party, but he's not going to be her date. Joe Jonas is. He doesn't
take it well. He leaves without saying good-bye. she asks him not to go,
but he ignores her and drives away.

Jen embarrasses herself at the mom show by being completely unaware of
what is and isn't appropriate when it comes to child-rearing. The baby
won't stop crying. One of the other moms tries to explain the concept of
babies getting overheated to Jen, but she says everybody suffers for
fashion. His fussing picks up velocity, and the other mom offers to take
him. Jen refuses, but then accepts and the other mom calms him down in a
matter of seconds. Jen says she was going to try 'that bouncing thing
you're doing' next.

Naomi approaches Oscar to thank him for his help with Cannon. He invites
himself to join her for dinner, but she has Adrianna's party. He loves a
party, and invites himself to that. He tells her what time he'll pick
her up, and doesn't take no for an answer.

Ivy approaches Liam and Navid. They're still all wooden and weird around
her, so she calls them on it. Navid is honest about the her and Dixon
situation, and she handles it pretty well.

The other mom is running to Jen, calling for her to stop. Jen flippantly
asks if she forgot to pay for something, and she says no. Jen took the
wrong baby and didn't even notice. The woman walks away without another
word, while Jen tries to make light of the mistake being because they
bought matching strollers.

Ivy and Naomi touch base in the restroom. Naomi offers her makeup to Ivy
to try to help her cover up her blotchies. Ivy sort of snaps that
cover-up isn't the answer to everything. Naomi rolls her eyes and walks
away.

The underage actress thanks Navid for getting her fired. He cuts her off
in mid-rant. She should get a job like a normal kid. She gives him the
news that not only did his dad know that she's underage? But she's not
the only one. Navid stares after her in shock as she walks away.

Navid arrives to work with Silver and promptly spills his guts about the
underage claim. She asks what he thinks, and he says he doesn't know
what to think anymore. He stares intently at Silver, making her
uncomfortable.

Annie and Dixon arrive at their dad's place. A woman answers the door.
She's their dad's 'friend'. She recognizes them from pictures he's shown
her. He won't be home for another half-hour, but they're more than
welcome to come in and wait. Annie tells her no, that's okay. They just
thought they'd swing through and say hey, but they really should be
going. She hugs them both and says it was nice meeting them.

Ryan asks Jen how it went, and she said those women were horrible. She
turns to throw the diaper away, and Jacques falls off the changing
table. He's screaming, and she hates herself. She thinks she's a
terrible mother. Ryan gives her lots of positive reinforcement, and it
looks like she hears him.

Naomi runs into Oscar and charms him some more. Ivy sees what happens,
and goes to confront Naomi. She tells her that Naomi is a lot of
negative personality traits, but she's not evil. And Oscar is evil. She
needs to stay away from him.

Silver shows up for an audition with Navid's dad's company. She meets an
actress named Holly Woodlove, who thinks Silver's name is sheer
perfection. She asks what Silver's name really is, and when Silver says
it again, Holly tells her she admires her dedication to her craft.
Silver tells her that there's one thing she's worried about. Holly tells
her it is NO big deal: they need girls with small boobs, too. No, she's
underage. Holly says no worries. She started at 17. They'll take
anything that has the most remote resemblance to an ID card. She directs
Silver downtown to buy a fake. She reiterates that honestly? These
people do not care.

The casting man calls Silver's name, and she excuses herself on some
pretext. She gets outside and tells Navid the ugly truth.

Dixon and Annie talk to Deb about meeting Katie at Harry's. She knew.
She didn't want to upset them. She knows it's weird to see him with
someone else, but they should try to be happy for him. And she's there
if they need a sounding board.

Naomi shows up to see Jacques. Jen loans her some beautiful shoes, and
gives her a key to the house. Mi closet es su closet.

Joe arrives to pick up Adrianna. He's hoping their 'date' tonight will
help dispel the rumors that he's dating Lady GaGa. He asks her to pick
which tie he should wear tonight. She picks. Her agent walks in snapping
at her, and changes his tune the minute he realizes Joe is there and
listening. He tells Adrianna to change to the black dress. Joe tells her
not to change, but she obeys.

Navid confronts his dad, who refuses to be questioned. He blows up and
calls Navid an ungrateful child who should just enjoy everything the
money buys. He closes by telling Navid to get the hell out of his
office. Navid does so. He goes to his guidance counselor and tells her
he needs to change his essay for submission. It's on who he admires the
most, and that is certainly not his father. Not anymore. Not now that he
knows his dad is a child pornographer.

Naomi and Oscar arrive, and he continues to flatter her. She tells him
that Ivy warned her to stay away from him. She says she wants to go
somewhere private with him. They leave the party.

Ryan talks to Deb a bit about Jen's schedule, but she's having a little
trouble concentrating. He pushes a bit, and she admits that she just
found out Harry has a girlfriend. From the kids. She lied when she told
them she knew. It's like the past 18 years of her life got erased, and
she doesn't get it. What was it all for?

Naomi and Oscar arrive at the pool and decide to go skinny dipping. They
have a stripping speed contest, and she wins. Ivy arrives, and Oscar
realizes he's been set up. He wants his clothes back, and she refuses.
He gives Ivy a heartfelt apology, telling her he doesn't deserve her
forgiveness, but he will work for it. He is honestly and truly sorry.
Ivy says it was a pretty good apology, but it wasn't good enough.
Buh-bye. He explodes, asking what she expects of him. Naomi tells him to
enjoy the spotlight, and turns it on. A great many of the attendees at
the party are wolf-whistling, laughing and cheering at Oscar, naked in
the pool.

Navid arrives and he tells Silver what his dad said to him. She hugs
him. They are thisclose to kissing, but Liam and Dixon interrupt. They
say they'll be right there, and lock eyes again.

Adrianna is amazed that all these people are here to see her. Navid is
sad to see her there with Joe. When they answer a few questions,
Adrianna fesses up that she and Joe are just friends, and her actual
boyfriend is Navid. She points him out for the cameras. Joe pointedly
states that even if he and Adrianna are just friends, he is still not
dating Lady GaGa. Silver looks like somebody just slapped her when she
realizes she almost kissed Navid.

The guidance counselor takes the child porn news to the principal.

Ivy gives Naomi a heartfelt thanks for her help. They bond for a split
second or three, then Naomi gets a call and has to go.

Adrianna apologizes to Navid for not bringing him as her date in the
first place. Victor confronts Adrianna and threatens to expose her. She
tells him to have at it. She says he can either expose her and lose it
all or continue as her manager and go along for the ride. He only gets
5% though.

Naomi arrives at Jen's. She left a note for Ryan, giving him custody of
Jacques. She's gone.

As Ivy crosses the overpass, she tosses Oscar's clothes onto the freeway.

Annie reads her beautiful testament to her mother to Deb - who is her hero.
