AX Men

Episode Info

Prev: 7x20 -- Cutting it Close (Apr/06/2014)

In the season finale, battles and fortunes are all on the line. On Alaska's Kupreanof Island, a chainsaw accident leaves the crew short-handed on the last and most dangerous site of the season. In Washington, Gabe Rygaard's ferocious push to move the final loads proves too dangerous when Jason flips a loaded trailer. In the Bayou, it's Shelby's big day as he heads to the mill to find out if he's successfully filled his 200,000 board foot order. And down on Florida's St. Johns River, Greg's mistake could cost his crew a victory over the Dreadknots when a broken propeller leaves them dead in the water.

Ax Men as Good as Deadliest Catch?Rating: 1 likes, 0 dislikes

As usual, the original is always the best. Ax Men, the newest show from the folks that brought us Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers have tried, but only marginally succesfully given us another show about guys working dangerous jobs. No ne who knows anything about logging will deny that it is a dangerous business, but this show lacks a little of the "sexiness" that the others bring. Is it because they are on land? Maybe it's because the characters don't seem as interesting... It's too bad, because for those of us that know people who do this for a living, the idea of a show that tells their real story is appealling. Read more
