(About Sloane's reaction upon losing Marshall)
Jack: It was as if someone had overcooked his steak. | Marshall: I swear on my mother's grave, I don't know. And though technically Mom's still alive, she has picked out her gravesite, so-- | Vaughn: I got your psych report back. You did well.
Will: I'm not a sociopath?
Vaughn: Well, I didn't say that. (laughs) | Kendall: I just got off the phone with the director again and he asked me again if I knew we were in the intelligence business. | Dixon: I speak nine languages. Techno is not one of them! |

Will: So you get Echelon, you become Big Brother.
The term "Big Brother" was used in George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four to depict the dictator of Oceania, a fictitious society which authorities kept everyone under complete observation, always using the phrase "Big Brother is watching you" as to remind them of their constant surveillance. The term became later a synonym for government surveillance in general. | Marshall: You guys like cherry PEZ? You know, cherry PEZ? The little candy, comes in the little superhero thing? Yeah, I collect the dispensers.
PEZ are compressed peppermint candy. Its name was derived from the German word for 'peppermint' (Pfefferminz) and it was originally introduced in Austria. There are over 450 dispenser heads, with thousands of variations. After PEZ was introduced in the U.S., head dispensers of popular characters were manufactured making it more popular. Dispensers are part of popular culture in many nations and are collected by many people. | Marshall: Yeah, I thought I had the largest collection in the world. I actually wrote the Guinness Book of World Records about it.
The Guinness Book of Records is a book published annually, containing an internationally recognized collection of great achievements - both attained by people or by the natural world. | Marshall: I was just trying to download an MP3 off Audiogalaxy.
Audiogalaxy is a file sharing system founded by Michael Merhej that catalogues MP3 files. After the downfall of Napster in 2001 it became the most used file sharing system on the Web. | Marshall: You guys like Sammy Hagar?
Sammy Hagar was the lead vocalist for Montrose, and then had a semi-successful solo career, before he replaced "Diamond" David Lee Roth in Van Halen. The song that Marshall played was "Serious JUJU" from Ten 13. |
