Macaulay Culkin (1980-) comedy,
“Home Alone”A Japanese version of the 1892 song
“Daisy Bell” composed by
Harry Dacre, is heard in this episode during the flight of Hoshi's origami crane.
Apparently to compel his origami crane to fly farther, Hoshi cries “Akira, Now!”.
“Akira” is a 1988 anime film written and directed by Katsuhiro Otomo based on his hit manga he wrote from 1982 until 1990.
Barry: “They found us, we're getting off the island”
Possible reference to the ABC drama,
“LOST” (2004-2010) which centers around a group of survivors of an airline crash marooned on a mysterious island.
