This and the other mentions of “Number One” are references to Patrick Stewart's character “Captain Jean-Luc Picard” from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” (1987-1994)
“Number One” is what Picard called his first officer.

Stan: “I came up with a great nickname for Jackson today, Jackson Brown-Nose. It's a little dated but I think people will get it.”

Stan is referring to American singer/songwriter Jackson Browne (1948-) who started his musical career in 1966.
“Hold Out”, his only Number 1 album was released in 1980 & that spawned his biggest hit, peaking at number 7 on the Billboard 100, “Somebody's Baby”.

Roger: “I've named her Courtney Love because she killed her husband, she's full of toxins...”

Courtney Love (1964-) was married to the “grunge rock” group “Nirvana” 's (1985-1994) lead singer Kurt Cobain who killed himself in 1994 although some say Courtney had a hand in his death.

Fran: “If I have to sit through one more Carson Daly...ugh... I get it you're friends w/ Dave Navarro”

Fran was watching the late night NBC talk show “Last Call w/ Carson Daly” (2002-) starring the former MTV host Carson Daly (1973-).

Dave Navarro (1967-) is an American rock musician who's been in “Jane's Addiction”, “Deconstruction”, “Polar Bear” & “The Red Hot Chili Peppers”
