Episode Quotes
(On the TV)
Greg: Who loves cute little kitties?
Terry: (raises hand) Guilty.
Greg: Then you'll love this, the city pound is now keeping cats for only two days before they have them destroyed.
(A stunned Terry stares open mouthed at Greg)
(Greg just shrugs his shoulders)

Episode Goofs
Unless we're supposed to assume there are two separate Officer Turlingtons, when he speaks to his momma, he says his name is Daniel but in the episode “Chimdale”, Mr. Chimdale calls him Ron.

On the right side of the screen, the bottom 'No Trans Fat' sign suddenly bleeds over the one above it.

Cultural References
in this episode, Steve mentions American actress & one of the stars of the NBC show “Heroes” (2006-Present), Hayden Panettiere (1989-).

Stan: “The new Pixar movie, Clothes. It's about the secret lives of Clothes. John Ratzenberger plays a tie.”

The fictitious movie Stan mentions is an allusion to the Pixar movie series, “Toy Story” (1995), “Toy Story 2” (1999) & “Toy Story 3” (2010) which shows what toys do when humans aren't around.

John Ratzenberger (1947-), probably best known for his role in the long running sitcom “Cheers” (1982-1993), portrays the character “Hamm” in each of the Toy Story movies & has also appeared in every Pixar movie since 1995.

Stan: “Damn you Heavy D”

Stan mentions rapper & musician Dwight Myers (1967-), stage name “Heavy D”.

Stan: “They based that movie The Sweet Hereafter on it”

The 1997 drama movie “The Sweet Hereafter” is mentioned in this episode.

In this episode Stan mentions the 1995 sequel to Jim Carrey's (1962-) “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” (1994), “Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls”

Steve: “...and gives me Bonnie Franklin hair”

Bonnie Franklin (1944-2013) is best remembered as the star of the sitcom “One Day at a Time” (1975-1984).

The joke being, on the show she sported a very distinctive bowl haircut.

Terry: “...bad news for Kirstie Alley”

Former “Cheers” star Kirstie Alley (1951-) is mentioned in this episode.

Former Princess of Wales, Diana Spencer (1961-1997) is mentioned in this episode.

Langley Falls residents pull down a statue of a man holding a donut similar to the way the Iraqi people pulled down a statue of Sadam Hussein (1937-2006) after the U.S. ousted him from power in April 2004.

The statue in the episode is itself is a parody of the “Big Boy Statue” that stood outside Big Boy Restaurants.

On the door to the men's room there's the character “Black Spy” from Spy vs. Spy. The wordless black and white comic strip that has been published in Mad Magazine since 1961

Klaus: “Favorite movie?”
Roger: “Dude Where's My...”

Roger mistakenly thinks Klaus' favorite movie is the 2000 comedy starring Ashton Kutcher (1978-) and Seann William Scott (1976-), “Dude, Where's My Car?”

Roger: “Mine says ABBA”

Roger mentions he has the Swedish pop music group ABBA (1972-1983) bedazzled on his body.

Klaus: “How cute is Daniel Day-Lewis”

2 time Oscar© winning British actor Daniel Day-Lewis (1957-) is mentioned in this episode.

Stan: “Go as close to the light as you can and ask my grandfather why Jim Nabors was at his funeral and then come back”

Apparently Stan's grandfather knew Jim Nabors (1930-), probably best known as the star of “Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C” (1965-1969)
