Jake a thirteen year old skate boarder Asian American from New York finds out that he has the magical ability of becoming a dragon. and that he must look after all the creatures in New York. His grandpa Lao Shi puts him through a series of training procedures which seem useless, but then Lao Shi gets captured by the huntsclan. Will this 'useless training' prove useless after all?
