Auditions #6: LA - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
This time they are in the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles. The crowds gather by the thousands as they kick off the episode. The judges get into L.A. Randy is sporting shinny shows that Jennifer tells that she is blind because of them and Steven comes out smoking a cigar. The judges get comfortable in their seats ready to start the auditions.

Victoria Garrett is first and has God on her side to the auditions and has confidence that she is going to win American Idol. However, she gets on and sings and it is horrible to listen to. The judges try to be nice by telling her that it was not good, but Randy tells her how it is and tells that it was like an animal was dying. She walks off without a ticket to Hollywood.

Next up is Tim Halperin and tells that he feels that Jennifer Lopez is beautiful. He gets up to sing and has an amazing voice that keeps the interest of Jennifer. Randy tells that he has to say no because he was holding back and is not ready. However, Steven sees something there and puts him through. This leaves it up to Jennifer. Tim comes out holding his ticket to Hollywood and everyone celebrates.

After a quick break, Justin Carter is up and he has a voice that is jazzy and classy. The judges like what they hear and put him on through to Hollywood. The judges get hungry and the show changes to a montage of a lot of food getting taken into the judges room.

The next up are Daniel Gomez and Isaac Rodriquez. They are friends and they tell that they have talent. First to try is Daniel and he lacks a strong talent and Steven tells that he is so far from the melody and Randy tells that he is tone deaf. Isaac Rodriquez is next and he is horrible as well and is far from the melody as well. Randy tells that he and Daniel should not be singing at all. They walk off singing because nothing is going to stop them.

Day Two

After a grueling day one of judging the talent, the judges get settled in their seats hoping that Los Angeles is going to deliver that group of talent that they want. Setting in their seats, they wait for the oncoming contestant.

This year, American Idol hosted a state wide search with MySpace and one of the contestants is Karen Rodriguez she sings and it is a breath of fresh air from the talent that was on day one. The judges all tell that she is going to Hollywood without any hesitation.

Next up is Tynisha Roches and she is full of confidence. However, when she starts to sing, it is torture for the judges to hear. Randy tries to interrupt her, but Tynisha keeps going. Randy leaves and Tynisha follows after him. Everyone laughs and finally Tynisha is escorted by security.

Heidi Khzam wishes to change things for Los Angeles’s lack of talent by showing that she can belly dance. Steven and Randy love her right away. She starts singing and she has a very nice voice too. They all say yes and Jennifer tells them settle down.

Next is Matt “Big Stats” Frankel and he is a record producer. However, by the looks of him, not a very good one. He comes out in the room and tells that he has a introduction that he starts with. He is very corny with it and it is not good at all. They ask if he can sing something and he tells that it is dedicated to Jennifer. It is no good at all and they tell that he can leave. He walks off and tells that the judges don’t know what they are talking about.

The talent continues to spiral out of control until Mark and Aaron Gutierez come out. They tell that they are brothers and that they are going to sing a duet together. They start to sing and it is amazingly in tune. They get their tickets to Hollywood and one step closer to the dream of a lifetime.

The last to audition is Cooper Robinson, a 59-year-old man dressed up in a weird outfit. Of course this is not a serious audition and the man moves around the stage like someone on drugs. The judges are a scared of the man who keeps telling that he is taking over the entertainment industry. He leaves after the judges tell him that it is a no and Jennifer has security escort her out. Thus ends the worst auditions of the season. Next stop is San Francisco!
