2 of 11 Voted Off - Recap

Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Thia Megia, Haley Reinhart, Pia Toscano, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, Paul McDonald, Stefano Langone and Naima Adedapo are up for elimination tonight and there are no saves tonight and two are going home tonight. The show kicks off with the judges taking their seats. Ryan comes out and says that 55 Million votes came in. He has the Top 11 come out and tells that Antasia and Jamie Fox with Will I.Am. They take a moment and have Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery sing a duet to “I Told You So”.

They get down to the results and after Lauren and Scotty’s performance they both come on stage and Ryan tells that both Lauren and Scotty get another chance to impress and are safe for another week. Afterward, the contestants have their ford music video where they are super heroes. Ryan talks to the contestants and says that they get a lot of fan mail. James shares a custom made WWE belt that he got in his mail.

Naima and Jacob come down and sing “Solid” and it is not that good until the chorus. They come down for their results. Ryan says that one is in the bottom three. That person is Naima. Jacob is safe to perform another week.

Fantasia sings her new single and she shows her talent on the stage. She gets a standing ovation. Ryan takes her to the contestants and asks what she knows now that she wishes she wanted to know. Fantasia says that she says that it is all about the music and says that because they love music

Haley, Thia and Pia come out and perform “Teenage Dream” and it is good. They go to the center of the stage and sends Pia back to the couch to be able to perform next week. Thia is in the bottom three and Haley is back to safety.

They show a clip of the contestants recording and then performed at a charity event for Muhammad Ali in Phoenix and then got to go to the Ford Music Video. They have to move from the mansion because it was leaking. They recap the last week and they have a lot of fun. James, Paul, Stefano and Casey debut their band that they created and sing “Band on the Run” and it is good. Afterward, Ryan gets to the results and Casey and Jame are safe. That leaves Paul and Stefano. Paul is in the bottom three.

Jamie Fox and Will I.Am. perform on stage and they sing “Hot Wings” from the soundtrack of “Rio”. It is a party on the stage and they have a lot of fun.

Paul, Naima and Thia get their decision and only one is safe. That one is Paul. Thia Megia and Naima Adedapo are going home and leaving the competition. They look at their journey on American Idol. The contestants and judges come up to them and say their goodbyes to them.
