1 of 7 Voted Off - Recap
Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, and Stefano Langone are in danger tonight of going home tonight. They got 52 Million votes last night and Ryan tells everyone to get set for the show. Ryan tells that Katy Perry and David Cook are going perform and Ryan asks what is going to happen with the vote and Randy tells that it is all in the air. Steven tells that he is going to give the editor something to do tonight. Haley, Jacob, Lauren and Stefano perform “Soul Sister” and it is good to listen to.
They show a clip of the Ford Music video where they create a scene and “Viva La Vida” is sung by Casey, Scotty and James and it is good. Ryan asks what Jacob feels about him being a Diva and he fells alright from it. Scotty tells that there is a cupcake named after him. They get to the results and have Casey and Jacob stand up and Casey tells that he was going to just breathe in her face, but he had an opening. Jacob tells that he heard drums in his ear and decided to go for it. Casey is safe, but Jacob is in the bottom three.
David Cook performs “The Last Goodbye” from his new album. He shows what it takes to be a recording artist and it is amazing to hear the new single. Afterward, Ryan comes up and David says that it is great to be back. He tells that May 1, he is going to be in the 5K walk/run and also talks about his concert. He says that his mom wanted to meet Steven Tyler and they take a moment with David’s mom hug him. They show a clip of the Idol contestants going to a Dodgers game and then go bowling. They take a moment to the SPA as well.
They get down to more results and have Lauren, James and Stefano go to the center of the stage. Stefano is on the bottom three. Both James and Lauren are safe for another week.
Scotty and Haley come to the center of the stage and Scotty is safe and Haley is in the bottom three to join Stefano and Jacob. He tells Haley that she is safe and sends her back to the couches.
Katy Perry sings “E.T.” and it is great to see the recording artist come on stage and show what it means to be a top recording artist. Afterward, Ryan asks how the competition means to Jacob and he tells that he has given it his all and that is all he can say. Stefano tells that he gave it his all too and if it is the end of the road, it is.
They get to the final results of the night and Ryan asks Jennifer what she makes of them being on the stage. She tells that it is amazing and it is not the end of the road for any of them. Randy tells that both have proved that they are good. Steven says that there is going to be a lot of love going to them. The person leaving tonight is Stefano. He tells that he can’t put a price on things he did and says that he doesn’t feel bad for leaving. He sings “Lately” as his closure. At the end James picks him up and swings him around and hugs him.
