It is Results Night and James Durbin, Haley Reinhart, Lauren Alaina, and Scotty McCreery are in danger of going home and not being able to be in the Top 3. Ryan comes out and says that there was over 72 Million. He says that Enrique Iglesias, Jordin Sparks and Lady Gaga. Scotty McCreery and James Durbin sing a song together. Afterward Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart sing a duet as well.

They show a clip of every one of the idol hopefuls talking on the webcam. They get to the results and after the nationwide vote. The first to get in the Top 3 is Lauren Alaina. Afterward, they show a video of Lady Gaga’s performance of “You and I”.

Enrique Iglesias sings “Dirty Dancer/I Like it”. He shows what it means to be a top recording artist today.

They show a clip of the Ford Music Video where the idol contestants draw a Ford car with glow pens. Afterward, Jordin Sparks sings her new single “I am Woman”.

They premiere the new music by Steven Tyler. The song is “It Feels So Good”. The video is good and proves that Steven Tyler still has it when it comes as being a performer. They get back to results and the next person that is in the Top 3 is Haley Reinhart.

James and Scotty remain on stage and the last spot goes to Scotty McCreery. James Durbin is out of the competition and they take a look at his journey on American Idol. Ryan asks what is going through his mind and James says that he was looking at his journey he did things that has never been done. He sings his Swan Song from Elton John week.
