Jessica Whitely comes up and says that she has been singing for a long time and that she loves it. She sings “In This Song”. However, it is horrible! Afterward, Randy tells her that it was awful and Randy tells her that it is not her area. She tells them that she will see them in Texas.

Next up is Shaun Kraisman and he says that people mistake him to be Ryan Seascrest a lot. He even sounds like him. The judges have fun and ask him to say some quotes that Ryan would say. Randy is shocked by the similarities. He sings “Oh Girl” and he alright, but the judges are unsure. Steven says that as a singer, it is a no.

Shannon Magrane comes up and she says that her father, Joe Magrane, is a retired pitcher of the St. Louis Cardinals. Jennifer tells Shannon to bring in her family and they meet the famous pitcher. She has improved. Afterward, they have Colton sing and he sings “Permanent” by David Cook. Jennifer says that they have improved and says that both of them are going to Hollywood. They come out and Colton shows that he got an unexpected golden ticket too. They are shocked and Colton says that Schyler sucked him in again.

The talent goes down the drain as hearts are broken and the tears come out. Hoping not to get a negative answer is Lauren Mink. She says that she is a director of a community for people with disabilities. She sings and has a good voice. He starts and is horrible. Steven says that he has the confidence, but his voice is not good. Jennifer says that it was all over the place. Randy says that he wants him to find people who think he is good. Ryan goes with Mawuena and finds a group of girls with their grandfather who feel that he has a good voice. However, the judges still say no and tell the girls to have their mom wash the wax out of their ears.

Next up is Ashlee Altise and she says that she has made up a new dance move called the “Joy Hop”. She is energetic and sings pretty well. Afterward, they tell her that she was great and her energy was amazing. However, Savannah hits a sour patch and the singers get rejected. One contestant, W.T. Thompson comes out and says that it is a no and that he has a baby on the way too. They rewind to three minutes earlier and listen to W.T.’s tale. He comes up to the judges and sings. He has a decent voice, but Steven says that he hears the voice, but doesn’t know about American Idol. Jennifer says that she is going to say yes. Randy says that he is going to get eaten alive. He comes out and is bummed. However, it is just an act and he actually did get the ticket.

They show a montage of girls who kiss Steven Tyer. One contestant, Erica Nowak, says that Steven is her future ex-husband. She hugs Steven and gets a butt-squeeze in there too. He says that she better be good. She sings “Super Duper Love” by Joss Stone and she is over the top with it. She says that wasn’t good and that the best note that she hit was when she grabbed his butt. She hugs Randy and squeezes his butt too. She doesn’t care about the ticket, she just wanted to hug Steven.

Next up is Brittany Kerr, a NBA dancer. Based on her looks, Steven automatically says yet. She says that she is going to sing “Spoiled” by Joss Stone. She starts singing and she has a good voice. Randy says that was amazing. Randy says that there is something there and says that she can develop it. Jennifer says that it is a no for her. However, Steven puts her through to the next round.

The last contestant of the night is Phillip Phillips and he works at his father’s pawn shop. He says that he is going to sing his own version of “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder. They are amazed with him and Randy has him play his guitar and he play’s “Thriller”. They are unanimous and they tell him that it is a yes for them. He gets his ticket to the next round. That’s it for Savannah and in total, 42 tickets were handed out. The judges get ready to move on to the next city, Pittsburgh!
