The next round of auditions is underway and this time they are in San Diego, California. Aboard the USS Midway, Randy, Steven and Jennifer get ready to hear the hopeful singers coming in to meet them. They get in to be shocked because there is a fighter jet right behind them.

First up is Jennifer Diley and she is dressed in a bikini and short shorts. Ryan messes with her and tells her that they didn’t get the shot when she walks up the stairs to meet the judges. Secretly they laugh about it. She goes in and says that she is going to sing “With You” by Jessica Simpson. She sings horribly and Steven says that her voice is not up to par and that she is not going to make it at all. She tries to sing another song and they are speechless because it was really bad.

Ashley Robles is next and she has a 5-year-old daughter who wants to be a dancer one day. She says that she has wanted to do this for a while. She comes up to the judges and says that she is going to sing “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston. The judges love her sound and Randy asks where she has been. They tell her that she is going through to Hollywood without any problems. The friends and family celebrate when she comes out with her golden ticket to Hollywood.

Next up is Jayrah Gibson and he says that he is a singer and performer who likes to do what he does. He comes up to the judges and tells Jennifer that he wrote a song for her. He sings it and it is about shaking her “Money Maker”. He says that he is really there to sing “Just Friends”. He sings and is pretty good and Randy really loved it. Steven says that it was a whole ball of wax. They send him onto Hollywood. He runs out and is speechless to what just happened to him.

Next up is Aubree Dieckmeyer and she says that her mom is someone she has always looked up to and she has supported her on things. She says that she can be America’s Top Model. She freezes and realizes her mistake, but can’t say it correctly. She comes up to the judges and sings. She is good and Jennifer says that she loves all the sweet parts of her voice. Randy says that she looses some power, but she has a natural talent. Steven says that she has flavor in her voice. They vote and send her to Hollywood.

Ali Shields is next and she says that she was on Ellen and says that she got to kiss Usher. She comes in and says that she is going to rap. She gets down and ghetto dances. The judges love it. She sings “Like a Star” and is an alright singer. The judges agree that she has a voice in there. They like her personality and say that she is going to Hollywood.

Next up is Kyle Crews. He is a student and is in a Fraternity. He says that he likes to serenade any pretty girl. He comes up and sings “Angel of Mine”. He is good and afterward, Steven says that his is the best male voices of the city. Randy says that he can sing. Jennifer tells him that he is good. They tell him to work on the look, but it is a yes to Hollywood.

After a break, Joanne Childers is on stage when suddenly there is a loud siren from the boats. This sets off a montage of Steven getting censored by the horn of the ships and he climbs in one of the jets and tells Randy and Jennifer that he is going to be judging from there.

Next up is Jane Carrey. She is Jim Carrey’s daughter. She says that she is a mother and that she has been always trying to make a name for herself on her own. She comes in and Jennifer remembers her when she was 2 years old. She sings and she is pretty good. Randy likes the potential that is there and Jennifer likes her tone. They all vote her through to Hollywood. She calls up her father and he is happy for her. He says that it is going to be a crazy year.

Jason “Wolf” Hamlin is last up for the night and he is a mechanic on golf equipment. He says that his father was a guitar maker and that he passed away back in 2010. He comes out and says that he is going to sing “Midnight Special”. He is really good. However, Steven wants to hear another song. “Wolf” plays his guitar that his father made and sings a Johnny Cash song. It is really good and they have no problem sending him on to Hollywood.
