The Results are in and Kree Harrison, Janelle Arthur, Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller and Candice Glover wait to find out if they did enough to make it to the Top 4. Ryan Seacrest comes out and welcomes the crowd. He says that Clay Aiken and Fantasia are going to be performing tonight. The Top 5 come out and perform a medley of Donna Summer hits.
They take a look at the performances from last night. Jimmy says that Angie is a great technician and says that “Stand By Me” was amazing. However, “Halo” wasn’t as good. Nicki says that Jimmy has no idea what he is talking about because “Halo” was a 10 out of 10. For Candice Glover, Jimmy says that he was concerned with her, but she blew her mind with “Believe”. He says that she is a smart girl. Randy says that he couldn’t get a old of Paula. However, Paula comes out on stage and hugs Candice. She tells her that she was really moved that she shared her vocals and says that she is a big fan. They have Paula sit in the judges seat.
Up next, Clay Aiken is coming to the stage. He says that he has been working with helping out Unisef and helping create a program that helps include kids with disabilities be included with other children. He comes out on stage and sings “Bridge Over Troubled Waters”. He shows that he still has it as a performer and deserves the success that he has received and continues to receive.
They continue to look at the performances from the night before and for Janelle, Jimmy says that she struck out last night and says that she that the arrangement was good, but not enough meat on it. She gets a note from Dolly saying that she did great. For Amber, Jimmy says Amber sings brilliant all the time and says that she is going to be rewarded for her bravery. Mariah says that if there was a place above the Top 2, she would be there. She says that it was great. For Kree, Jimmy says that there are 5 great girls in the show and says that when Kree did the first song, it was wrong. He says that Nicki and Mariah arguing was bad, but it was fun watching Randy and Keith.
Up next, Fantasia is coming to the stage. They take a look at Latoya London, the third member of the Diva group that consisted of her, Fantasia and Jennifer Hudson. After the show, she felt that she didn’t know what she was going to do. She says that she got into theater and was in “The Color Purple” with Fantasia. She is recording and is going on studio. Ryan talks to Latoya in the crowd. Fantasia comes out and sings her new single “Lose To Win”. She shows that she still has what it takes.
The results are in and the first person safe is Candice Glover. The next person definitely safe is Angie Miller. The 3rd person safe is Amber Holcomb. This means that Kree Harrison and Janelle Arthur are in the Bottom Two. The person singing for the save is Janelle Arthur. Randy says that they are not going to use the save. Janelle Arthur goes home.
