The first contestant of the day in Denver was Marlows Davis, Jr. He sang an Alicia Keys song. He got three nos and did not make it to Hollywood. Tiffany Christensen then sang "Here for the Party" by Gretchen Wilson. She didn't make it. Olivia Dudley tried and failed. Next up was David, who just couldn't make it. Lisa Tucker came in to sing next. She made it to Hollywood and Simon told her that she was the best 16 year old they've ever had on American Idol.

Amanda Berg came in to audition next. She didn't make it tol Hollywood. Brett "Ace" Young came in next and sang. He made it to Hollywood with 3 yeses. Rochelle Elaine Dye came in and sang Chain of Fools. She also made it to Hollywood with three yeses. Naomi Guse came in to sing, but not very well. Jacob Garcia came in and did tricks with some crutches. Chris Daughtry sang after. He made it to Hollywood. Heather Cox sang a song too. Angela Garcia sang one of Paula's songs. Erik came in next. The was showdown music. He walked out. Garet Johnson sang an Elton John song. He said that he had never been on a plane and that he was a cowboy. He made it to Hollywood. Nick McCord ("Flawless") sang "Your Song" by Elton John. He didn't make it. Ben Hausbach sang next, he also brought his invention, the cosmis coaster. It would allow your drink to float. He definitely did not make it to Hollywood. April Walsh sang next. She made it to Hollywood also. Zachary Travis sang next. He didn't make it. 18 others made it to Hollywood on Day 2.
