Final auditions (unseen from all locations) - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The final night of auditions kick off and they have saved the best for last. It is the final chance to get the $1 Million prize and the headlining show in Las Vegas. Wanting to get their pass to Vegas first is Vietnamese Jimmy Dean, the stand up comedian. Walking on stage, his hope is to make the judges and audience laugh. He starts off being a little funny but is booed off the stage since the act isn’t going anywhere. The judges weren’t happy with his performance and felt that he was a funny person, but not a funny comedian. However, Howie tells that he would talk Jimmy on tour to add to his act. So there might be a hopeful outcome to Jimmy Dean.

Next up is “Belly Dancing Duo” who, walking on stage automatically get a yes from Howie and Pierce and not to mention every male in the audience. Their dance routine is really neat and precise. They dance and impress the audience and Sharon tells that they are really good dancers. Howie tells that he didn’t notice the belly dancing to which Sharon says that he was looking at the T&T. Howie fills Sharon in to what T&T means. “Talent and Timing”. The girls move on to Vegas.

This sets off a montage of good acts that include Lindsey Sterling, a hip-hop violinist that impresses, “Team X-Pogo” WOW the judges and audience with their pogo sticks and flips, and “The Maniacs” who are from all walks of life dance to the music and there is a little person in the act that knows how to get down.

The next act however doesn’t look to promising. “Clownvis”, an Elvis impersonator dressed as a clown wants to impress with his act. Entering the stage he sets up his props. He starts singing “Old McDonald Had a Farm” and is immidately buzzed. Clownvis wants to know who Pierce is to which he replies “I’m your worst nightmare”. Sharon laughs and Clownvis tells that she has a contact high from living with Ozzy too long. BAD MOVE. Sharon tells him “you know what” and Clownvis then attacks Howie by saying that Howie Mandel has not had a good thing since “Little Monsters”. Nick Cannon enters and takes off his jacket acting like he is going to beat up Clownvis. How tells him “you know what”. So, Clownvis is going to have to take his show somewhere else and the censors had a fun time editing Sharon and Howie.

This made the day go off in a bad way and we see bad acts like Andrew and the Sumo Wrestlers that the censors time was not up with the fact that they had to cover up things that were “falling” out, Tap dancing Sarah Palin wannabes showed their annoyance on stage, and “Frequent Fliers Production” that showed no skill on stage with a hanging bar to which Howie says it is nothing special and that he could do the act that they just did. He puts his skills to the test and copies the moves the girls did on the bar. The acts don’t go through to Vegas.

Next up is Champion World Record holder Rick Smith JR. wants to prove that he has the talent with card throwing. He asks Nick, of course, to be the assistant and tells Nick to hold still. He cuts a piece of celery twice and gets through to Vegas. To top it off, he throws one card up to the ceiling and the light guy gets it. He tells backstage that he can throw the cards at 90 miles per hour. Next to hopefully get his ticket to Vegas is Phil Trau. This 74 year old man wants to impress with his tap dancing. He sets up his step ladder and starts tap dancing on it. Pierce is not happy with the tap dancer and buzzes him. This gives Phil more energy and he steps it up and it becomes even more amazing. At the end of an entertaining performance, Pierce does something he never does. He took back his X. This 74 year man moves on to Vegas.

Next up to continue the ride of yes answers is part time student Luigi Seno. He starts off a little nervous but picks it up and is truly amazing. He has a cool jazzy voice that makes the girls in the audience go crazy. He has a fun time playing and singing and finishes with pitch perfect vocals. At the end of his performance, Howie tells that if he had an album, he would be listening to it in his car. Sharon tells that Luigi has a relaxed style and Luigi gets through to Vegas to prove that his voice has what it takes to make it further.

Closing up the final auditions is 73 year old Arthur Nakane. He is a one man band that wants to prove that he has talent and can entertain the masses. After finding out that he took 3 hours to set up the equipment, he starts playing off key and he really is not a good singer. However, he is entertaining and entertains the crowd and judges. Howie says no despite what the audience says. Sharon wants to see more of him in Vegas and Pierce agrees with Sharon and Arthur is through to Vegas. The auditions close and the judges move on to Vegas to get prepared for the grueling process of winding down the contestants.
