Results Show #2 - Recap

With the results in, the quarter finalists did not show their talent as good as the first 12 but another four are going to be decided as the best of the talent showcased. With the night kicking off, Nick introduces the judges and asks Piers why he was so buzzy last night and he tells that they are at the business end of the million dollar prize and it is hard to pick the winner of America’s Got Talent. He wants to be able to choose the right winner and not someone who is not going to make it far. Nick tells that Cirque Du Soleil and Train are performing tonight and the show kicks off with the results.

First up to feel the wrath of the judging are: Mona Sampath Dance Company, Asendance, and Ronith. They enter on stage and they show the performances from the night before. The one act going through to the next act is Asendance. Nick talks to Asendance and Isabella tells that she is grateful and that they have so much more and they feel that they’re creating a new art form and Sharon tells that America got it right and that Isabella is right about them creating a new art form.

After the break they show the after party of the acts and Hannibal keeps his promise and made Sharon a dog hat. Cirque Du Soleil performs and it is an act that you could watch forever. With standing ovation from the audience, the act bow and exit the stage.

The next three acts to go under the chopping block are: Cheer SF, Iron Horse, and Alice Tan Ridley. Howie says that it is no contest and that America chose Alice as the one to go through to the next round and after a long wait, the next act to go through is Alice Tan Ridley just like Howie said. Piers tells that if she continues on with what she is doing and she could win America’s Got Talent. As a smiling Alice walks off stage they don’t mess around and get the next acts to get judged on.

Michael Grimm, Lil Chris, and The Strong Man enter the stage for the decision and Sharon tells that Ozzy says that Michael Grimm is the one going though. The next to join the semi-finalists is Michael Grimm. Ozzy and Sharon were right. Howie tells that he is not shocked that Michael got through to the next round because he has said it before that Micael Grimm is his favorite in vocals and shows his loyalty to him.

After the break, Train performs and sings “Hey Soul Sister” and receives a standing ovation. Nick comes out and asks what it takes to stay on top. The lead singer tells that you have to compromise. Nick talks to the guitarist and asks if he gets mistaken as Howie Mandel because of the fact that he has a goatee and a bald head. They joke and Howie calls him his “soul sister”.

Wreakless, Hannibal Means, and Antonio Rostivo walk on stage and get ready for the decision on who is going to get the final spot in the Semi-finals. The act to go home first is Hannibal Means. Now it is up to the judges to pick the best act that performed and it is hard for the judges. Howie picks Antonio. Piers says that both were the best and goes with his heart and picks Wreckless. Sharon has the final say and has to pick Antonio. The next position goes to Antonio and he tells that he has been fighting his whole life to get noticed. So the acts joining are Asendance, Alice Tan Ridley, Michael Grimm, and Antonio Rostivo!
