Final results show - Winner Announced - Recap

The time has come for the finale of America’s Got Talent and the final four have the chance to make it big and all the acts performed at their best. Host Nick Cannon comes out on stage dressed in his best for the finale and as always they are LIVE! Judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel are welcomed and Howie is in a shirt and tie! The four acts come out on stage and they reminisce on performances from last night. Piers tells that this season has been memorable, exciting, and high standard.

Donna Summer is going to be performing with Prince Poppycock. Singing “Last Dance”, Prince Poppycock is dressed in a pink wig and pink heels to match. Donna Summers enters the stage and sings with Prince Poppycock and they make a good couple. Nick asks how it was to perform with her and he tells that she is a legend.

After the break, the cast of “Love” come out on stage and it is a Beatles tribute dance group that performs superbly on stage. With flips, acrobatics, and some dancing, the cast prove that they have the talent to be in the spotlight.

Jewell is going to be performing with Michael Grimm and he is ecstatic to be able to perform with her. He enters the stage singing “New Orleans”, his voice pulls that blues sound out. Jewell enters and she shows that she’s got the sole voice just as Michael does. They sing well together and Nick asks how it was to perform and he tells that it was a dream come true.

Fighting Gravity are waiting for their celebrity duet partner to arrive and it is Lionel Richie. With Lionel Richie singing “Dancing on the Ceiling”, Fighting Gravity is in the back and it is all Lionel Richie that you can be attention to. Fighting Gravity make Lionel Richie an official member of Fighting Gravity.

Howie rolls a clip of Nick’s experience on America’s Got Talent including his dance duo with Spongetta. He tells it has been a blast and tells that the judges get around and especially with one in particular and if remixes his duet with, you guessed it, SPONGETTA! With her single “In My Studio” and he surprises her with T-Pain the rapper.

After the break they reminisce on the funny auditions, odd auditions, and out right crazy additions including the insulting “Clownvis”. This brings all the auditions into one performance and they’re just doing their own thing on stage. Nick tells the auditions schedule and tells that anyone can audition.

Jackie Evancho gets to sing with the adult angel Sarah Brightman. Jackie enters singing “Time to Say Goodbye”, she sings like the angel she has always been told that she has been told she is. Sarah Brightman enters and they sing together and are amazing! Nick asks how the experience was and Jackie tells that it was a wonderful experience. Sarah tells that Jackie needs to preserve her voice.

Celebrities are in the building where Jimmy Smith from “Outlaw” and they show a montage of the judges and the experience and the bickering and yelling that they went through and Piers tells that they really feared with their lives. They joke and have fun and when they go back to the judges, Future Funk is sitting in Howie and Piers’s spots. The ring the buzzers at the same time.

David Copperfield performs on the stage and he arrives on a motorcycle on the stage in the illusion. He then gets in a box and squeezes himself down to nothing! He jokes and says that is how they made “mini-me”.

After the break, The Goo Goo Dolls sing an old classic “Slide” and they entertain the crowd. They switch it up to their new music and they show what it means to be a hit recording band that has sold over hundreds of thousand of records. Nick tells that the acts are going through a lot and the lead singer says that he is nervous so they have to be really nervous.

They show a clip of the final four getting ready for their week before the finals and they get ready and all the work that the contestants have put in, it all falls down to the decision. The final four enter the stage again and one act is going to take the 4th place. This act is Prince Poppycock. They take a look at his America’s Got Talent journey. Piers tells that he made a mistake about buzzing him but tells that his performance with Donna Summer was amazing and can’t wait to see where he will end up.

After a break they get to decisions and the 3rd place goes to Fighting Gravity. They take a look at their journey. Nick asks what they have taken away with then. They tell that it has been tough but it is not the end. Sharon tells that it is only the beginning and she tells that she gets front row tickets on their first night. Now they are down to two acts. One will be the winner of the $1 Million and the headline show.

Usher performs on stage “DJ Got Us Fallin In Love” and does more dancing then he does singing and allows for the CD track to sing for him. He shows that he has the moves that any singer that is one of the most popular recording artists deserves. Nick asks what he can give to them and he tells that they can’t let the nerves get to them.

After the break the final decision on who will win America’s Got Talent and Howie tells that the right two acts are on stage and tells that he is looking at the 10-year old and asks if she is handling it alright. They reminisce on the two acts and their experience with America’s Got Talent. The decision is in and the winner of America’s Got Talent and the winner of the $1 Million and the headline show in Las Vegas is Michael Grimm! Jackie and Michael exchange hugs and he tells that he is shocked. Jackie tells that she has loved every moment of the journey. So the journey is over for this season and we are going to have to wait until the next.
