Los Angeles and Atlanta auditions - Recap
Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel are back with Nick Cannon as the host are back for another season of America’s Got Talent. They tell of the last year’s winner’s successes and they are traveling all over. They start the auditions in Los Angeles. The hopefuls make their way through the lines and the judges are back with hopes high. Nick Cannon gets the crowd excited and everyone gets ready to show that they have what it takes to take home the $1 Million and a Headline Show in Las Vegas. Sharon asks Nick on how he feels about be a daddy. He says that it takes talent to raise a child.
The first to show he has talent is Frank Olivier. He comes out nervous already and he says that he is going to do something special. He asks for Howie’s help handing him the torches when he gets on a unicycle. Howie stands their as Frank gets on the unicycle. Frank reaches for Howie head and asks him to give him the torches. He eventually gets up and juggles the torches with no problem. However, Howie buzzes him at the end. Sharon says that he was great. Piers says that Frank might have some charges against him for doing those things to Howie and thus makes him the best act he has seen. Sharon says that he is going to Vegas. Howie refuses to say anything and Piers says that he is through to Vegas.
Ryan Andreas is up next and he says that music is his life. He comes out and sings “Angel” and is amazing at it. Howie says that the sound was amazing. Piers says that was really impressive. Sharon asks how many times he has performed in front of people. He says that he never performed. She says that it was amazing. They give him his pass to Vegas.
Next up is John Jacobson. He comes out and says that he is a dance teacher and he is going to teach them the dance that he does. Right away the judges buzz him, but Howie gets into it just to annoy Piers. At the end, Piers pushes Howie’s button. Piers says that it was annoying and says no. Sharon also says no. Howie says that he liked it because it upset Piers. This sets off a bunch of bad acts that just don’t have it all together and they all get rejected.
Landon Swank is next to perform and he is a magician. He says that he has always struggling and has to find a way to get noticed. He makes a girl disappear in a new unique way. Howie says that he was impressed. Piers says that he was really great. Sharon says that he was really smooth and they put him through to Vegas. This sets off a montage of great acts that get through to Vegas.
Next is Debbie and her pet Parrot, Danny. She comes out and tells that she has had the parrot for 21 years. She does a routine where she has the parrot do animal impersonations and other things. Piers gives them a standing ovation and says that he is the smartest bird. Sharon asks what she has more and she tells that she has parrots that read minds and do magic. They give her a ticket to Vegas.
Next Frank Miles and tonight he is going to be juggling stun guns. He comes out and says that they are 500,000 volts and that one would knock a man to the ground. He is going to be juggling 1.5 Million volts worth of stun guns. He juggles them and tells jokes about it. He gets in the water with them as well and doesn’t drop one. The audience cheers. Howie says that it was great. Sharon says that she thought that it was great as well. Piers asks if he is going come back with more things that are going to endanger his life. He says that he is and they give him his pass to Vegas.
Udi Abagnale is next and he is the last of Day One auditions for Los Angeles. He says that he is going to sing and dance. However, it is not good and the judges buzz him before he can get into it. Nick tells them that he didn’t even get the room going. They give him another chance and as soon as he starts singing, they all buzz him. Howie asks how Udi felt it went. Udi says that it was hot. Piers says that he is the most deluted person he has meet. Nick tells them to play the music and starts dancing with Udi. The judges get out of there and end the day.
Day Two
It is day two of Auditions and they have moved to Atlanta. Thousands of hopefuls wait for their chance to get noticed and make the judges see that they have the talent that it takes to make it to Vegas and win the $1 Million and a spot to Headline a show in Vegas.
First up for the Atlanta auditions are dancers from Miami called “Miami All Stars”. They start dancing and they get the crowd on their feet. The judges and audience give them a standing ovation. Howie says that it was sexy and phenomenal. Sharon says that it was great to see men dancing like men and says that it was great. Piers says that it is great to see women dance like women and says that it was great. This sets off a montage of great acts such as a musician, a 12-year-old fire dancer and a cycle stunt team that had a crash and gets to show off their trick anyways. All acts go to Vegas.
The next act is “The Shabosh Boys”. They are a trio of rappers 5-7 years old. They win the hearts of people when the 5-year-old says that he would build a big house for kids who don’t have a home. They start “Wapping” as the 5-year-old says. They show that they have a lot of character. They get through to the next round in Vegas.
Next up is Primitivo Montoya. He says that he has his own dance moves. He comes out on stage and he is buzzed by Piers and Sharon. He falls off the stage and Howie buzzes when he gets up and tries to dance. They tell him no and a medic comes by in case Primitivo needs one. This sets off a montage of bad acts that include a group of students with attitude, a bunch of old men in diapers, a guy who walks off the stage and to which, Sharon laughs.
The next act is “The Crossed Swords”, a sword fighting duo. They come out and tell that they are going to fight each other. It is not entertaining and Howie asks what Piers thought of it. Piers says that it was great. Howie challenges Piers to a sword fight to which Piers wins. They vote and Howie tells that it is a no for him, Piers says that he wants to join their team. Sharon says that it is a no for her though.
The final act of the evening is “Illuninate”, a dance group that need complete darkness. A woman on the side works the program for the dance. There are lights and great dancing. It is very entertaining.Howie says that they were great without the lights probably, but with them, they were amazing. Piers says that was the best act he has ever seen on the stage. The auditions are over for this week. The judges move on to the next city.
