Minneapolis auditions - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The auditions continue tonight in Minneapolis, Minnesota and it is snow bound. However, the hopefuls are not stopped from this and they wait to get started as the judges come out. Piers isn’t there yet and Howie asks if it is a joke. Nick tells that Piers is stuck on a runway waiting to get there. That means that if there is one no from the judges, it means that the act doesn’t go through.

First up is Echo, a talking Parrot, with his trainer. She has the parent do a routine that has it talk and sing. Sharon says that it is incredible and they vote them trough to the next round with no problems at all.

This sets off a montage of great acts that get their ticket through to Vegas. Without Piers to complain about the acts, the judges have a fun time without him.

Next up is Lys Agnes. She tells that she wants to sing for them. She sings Ave Maria and it is amazing. Sharon says that she didn’t expect that. Howie sees that she is emotional and why. Lys says that it has been a bumpy ride. He says that she surprised them and says that Piers would have loved her as well. She gets her ticket to Vegas.

A midget is on the stage when Piers arrives on the stage and comes to the judging panel. Next up is “Those Funny Little People”, a group of midgets in gnome costumes. Piers buzzes. Piers says that was the most annoying acts. Howie says that it scares him, but says that Piers hates it so much that is why he is saying yes. Piers says no. Sharon says that she was entertained and says yes.

A montage of bad acts is set off where the acts are not getting the positive reaction that they have expected. They all get rejected from the competition.

Next is Walt Winston and he wants to show that he has the right talent. He says that he has had over 70 number one hits. He gets on the stage and starts singing. It is not good at all. Piers says that every truck driver is crying now. Sharon says that she was entertained, but says that it is not a million dollar act. Howie says that it wasn’t great and Nick comes out and starts to get the crowd singing the song. However, the judges are still positive on the negative decision they gave.

“The Silhouettes” are next and they are a dance troupe that dance behind a screen. They start dancing and it is amazing how they make shapes from their silhouettes. Howie says that it was an amazing original concept and says that it was beautiful. Piers has Lynn Patton, the designer of the act. He tells her that is the most brilliant act he has seen in a long time. Sharon says that it is very intoxicated and well executed. They put them through to Vegas.

Tim Ford is last up for the night and he is a chain reaction expert and has a think Minnesota accent. Howie likes it already. He starts the demolition and it is like a dominoes except sticks. Howie asks what the pillow and helmet are for and he tells that he doesn't want to have an accident. Piers, Sharon and Howie all put him through because it was entertaining. That is it for Minnesota auditions and the judges and the stage move to a new town.
