New York auditions, Part 2 - Recap

The auditions continue in New York and it is day two for another chance for the auditionees to show that they have talent. The hopefuls get in line to get their chance to make it through to the next round of the competition. The judges come in the auditorium and get ready for another week of auditions.

First up is married couple “Rak and Tak”. They are doctors and they want to show that they are great singers. They come out on stage and they are horrible! The crowd boos them and the judges laugh. Piers says that he has never met a better suited couple. Sharon says that it was cat-like when she went into a faseto. Howie says that he has never heard this before and says no. Piers says that he would have said yes, but it is a no.

Next act is a couple of motorcyclist “Smage Bros. Riding Shows”. Howie complains that there is no barrier for the judges and moves behind the barriers. They begin and show that they have complete control over the motorcycles. At the end, Howie tells that they were great. Piers says that he feels terrified for the guy who had to lay there and says that it was great. Sharon says that she enjoyed it. They vote and they get through to Vegas.

This sets off a montage of great acts that get through to the next round that include dancers in pink wigs, a great singer/guitar player, and an incredible limbo act. All get their ticket to Vegas with no problem at all.

Next up is “Leonid the Magnificent”, an America’s Got Talent repeat performer, and he tells that he was on Season one and two and then gave up. However, he is back to prove that he has talent. He is not good at singing, but is an amazing quick-change act. He gets cheers from the audience. Sharon says that she loved it. Howie says that it was great. Sharon says that it is a yes. Piers says no. Howie says that he is very weird and different and says that he is on to Las Vegas.

Next is Rachel Zamstein, a singer/guitar player. She has a story of drugs and alcohol and how music changed her life. She has soul in her voice. Piers says that she has an unusual look and voice and quite liked it. Howie tells that it felt like she was holding back. Piers says yes. Howie says that it is a no. Sharon says that she doesn’t know whether or not she is ready. The audience cheers Vegas and Sharon concedes with the audience and gives her another chance to prove herself.

Next is Sandy who confesses her love to Nick only to get rejected and this sets off a montage of completely and utterly ridiculous acts that don’t impress at all.

Next act is Narcississter. She comes out and dances with an unique twist with masks. It is interesting and gets the crowd cheering. Howie says that it was unique and interesting. Piers says that it was great and that he wants to see more. Sharon says that she liked it. They vote and Narcississter gets through to the next round.

Last up for the night is Sam B. He starts dancing on the stage and it is fun to watch the club dancing from the chunky man. The audience cheers him on. Sharon says that he is barking mad, but fantastic. Howie says that he loves it. Howie says yes, Sharon says yes and Piers says that he is brilliantly terrible and that is why he is on to Vegas. That is it for New York and they move on to another city.
