Twelve of the top 48 acts perform - Recap

The final twelve from the Top 48 perform tonight and they have only four more spots to fill for the Semi-Finals. Tonight performing is: The Kinetic King, Zuma Zuma, Avery and the Calico Hearts, Charles Peachock, Sam B, Taylor Davis, Melissa Villasenor, Scott Alexander, Fatally Unique, Yellow Designs Stunt Team, Frank Miles, and Team Iluminate. Howie says that there is going to be exciting acts, dangerous ones and all together a great night for them all.

The first act up is “The Kinetic King”. He showed his dedication by spending 36 hours putting the act together and he is ready to show America that he has talent. He comes out and it doesn’t go off the way he wants. He is upset that it didn’t go off like it is supposed to. Piers says that it wasn’t good and feels for him. Sharon says asks why he let his assistant start it and he says that it wasn’t her fault and says that the humidity must have warped the sticks. Howie says that he knows that he was baffled. Nick says that he feels for him and says that he could still move through to the next round.

“Zuma Zuma” is up next. They tell that they are having a fun time and want to show their talent. They come out and do a gymnastics dance routine that entertains the entire audience. Sharon and Howie give them a standing ovation as well as the audience. Sharon tells that they brought new elements and delivered it with speed and enthusiasm. Howie says that it was dangerous and exciting. Piers says it was very exciting and they look like they are having fun. Nick asks how it feels and they tell they are happy.

Next up is “Avery and the Calico Hearts”. They tell that they are excited to be in the competition and have gotten noticed a lot now. They come out on stage and give it their all. Howie says that they did amazing and says that they are the chipmunks come to life and says that they need their own show. Piers says that he loved the harmonies, but says that their singing ability is a little too early. Sharon says that they really put everything into their music and says that their voices are a little “chipmunky”, but it is cute. Nick asks where the diva-ness comes from and they tell that they just feel the energy.

Charles Peachock is next. He tells that he is going to give the audience something they haven’t seen before. He comes out on stage and plays piano with the balls and it is impressive. However, Sharon and Howie buzz the act. At the end, Piers says that there has been many jugglers and that has been the most talented one. Sharon says that it was very slow and she was lost when he was taking his shirt off. Howie says that he went backwards on his talent from setting himself on fire in Vegas to now. Charles tells that Piers knows what he is talking about and says that he did great.

Up next is Sam B. He tells that before, girls would give him the fake number, but now, they give the real number out to him. He comes out and does his normal routine. It is fun to watch. Sharon says that she is glad that he sticks to what he is good at and says that he will become a lot of people’s guilty pleasure. Howie says that everyone is going to be doing the “Sam B”. Piers says that the reality of his performance is that it never changes and it is him dancing around like a rhino on stage. However Sam B doesn’t care and just smiles and waves.

Next is Taylor Davis. He says that he hasn’t had any voice training and is a natural singer. He comes out and sings and it is good. Afterward, Piers says that he likes him, but he sounded off key. Sharon says that the song is beautiful, but not a lot of people know it. However, he has a great range. Howie says that a lot of people know the song and says that there was a small problem. He says that it has to be something more. Taylor says thanks for the criticism.

Melissa Villasenor is up next and she tells that people are recognizing her and she loves what she does. She comes out and does Mariah Carrey, Christina Aguilera, Sharon Osbourne, Drew Barrymore and Owen Wilson. She nails them and gets the audience laughing. Afterward, Piers says that she is a very talented person, but says that it wasn’t as good as the first time. Sharon says that she did extremely well because it is only her. Howie says that he can relate to her and says that she is very good.

Up next is Scott Alexander. He tells about how he has returned to magic now that his family is complete and says that it is time. He comes out on stage and has a choir sing and he makes them disappear. Sharon says that it was unique and fun and says that she liked it. Howie says that he wants a magician to do well, but says that he looked a little bizarre. Piers says that the way he did the act in big showmanship and says that it was great. He says that he did a good job and everything went off without any mistakes.

Fatally Unique are up next and they tell that they are amazed that they are in the competition and they say that they are going to fight for their dream. They come out on stage in army clothes and explode on stage. Howie says that it was energetic and unique and says that the dancers are bringing it on. Piers says that they stepped up their act. Sharon says that it was strong and they all stayed in character. She says that they are a fantastic group. Nick asks how they feel and they tell the moment means everything.

Next up is Yellow Designs Stunt Team. They tell that they love what they are doing and says that it is dangerous. They have an Alice in Wonderland type of Theme and it goes off with only one bicyclist falling on his butt, but then getting back up. Piers says that the act was terrific despite the small accident. Sharon says hat the production was phenomenal and was a joy to watch. Howie says that it was a great act and says that the accident made it even more phenomenal.

Frank Miles is next and he says that he is going to have 4 crossbows shooting at simultaneously and then it will hit a doughnut on the top of his head. He almost succeeds with putting the arrow through, but he survives. Sharon says that he should change his name to “Danger Man” and says that it was exciting. Howie says that it was a good, but not that great. Piers says that it didn’t hit the doughnut though and that is a little disappointing.

Last up for the night is Team iLuminate. The choreographer talks about how she got cancer when she was dancing and that she decided to choreograph with the program that she developed. They come out and do a flawless dance routine. Howie says that it was the best he has ever seen before and says that they are going to go through to the end. Piers says it is the best new act in America. Sharon says that they are already a world class act and Piers says that is a $1 Million act. They tell that they are excited and it means a lot to them. That is it for the performances, the hopefuls now have to wait for the results.
