On Aug. 28, 2003, Brian Wells, a 46-year-old pizza deliveryman, perished as a bomb that was strapped around his neck exploded. Authorities have been puzzled by the bizarre details of that day's events, unsure if Wells was involved in the bank robbery or a pawn in someone else's game. The FBI says that soon after he walked out of the pizza shop on an apparent delivery, he robbed a bank with a bomb strapped around his neck. When cops caught up with him, he said he had been abducted and forced to play a sadistic game – a scavenger hunt for his life. He also begged them to free him from the bomb.
