Darla [S02-S03], played by Julie Benz
Darla, played by Julie Benz, makes her appearance briefly at the end of the season one finale being brought back from the dead by Wolfram & Hart. They wanted to use Darla to try to mess with Angel to keep him distracted. The plan backfires when Angel realizes his vivid dreams are being created by Darla herself. Darla eventually realizes since she is human that she is dying of the disease she was 400 years ago before the Master Sired her in the Virginia Colony. Darla is prepared to die even as Angel had failed to accomplish his mission to save her. Wolfram & Hart bring Drucilla to town to make Darla a vampire again. As a vampire, Darla and Drucilla cause chaos in town until Darla, after not making Angel happy enough to be evil again, leaves town.
Darla returns in season three mysteriously pregnant back in Los Angeles. Angel's one night stand with Darla is revealed to everybody. Darla "feels" the soul of the child she is carrying which makes her an emotional basketcase. After not being able to give birth due to her body being dead, she commits suicide thus leaving the baby in the street for Angel. |
