Jasmine, played by Gina Torres, appears out of the womb of Cordelia as her child toward the end of season four. The mere sight of her brings everybody to her as servants of her beauty. She serves as a peace representative to humankind as she says. After Fred learns about her, it is revealed that Jasmine and Cordelia's blood destroy the bond that she forms with people on Earth. Jasmine's power grows stronger and stronger the more she feeds off human hosts and is able to see through other people to try to bring down Angel and the team after they learn the truth about her. Angel, then, goes to the dimension that worshiped Jasmine forever to find the one that could destroy her power. To break the spell, her true name would have to be revealed. Angel brings the head of the one who bears the name thus breaking the spell. Jasmine, then, tries to kill Angel in the street. Connor comes to the rescue only to kill Jasmine revealing that he was not even affected by Jasmine's love spell. |
