Lakisha, having reached $2,000, continues on her road to a million dollars and selects Alana as her star pupil. Alana says that people tell her she looks like Halle Berry and Lakisha chooses 1st Grade Art as her next question, which is:
If you mix equal amounts of red and yellow paint, what color do you get?
She gets the question right without help from Alana. Jeff Foxworthy introduces Lakisha’s mom who is sitting in the audience next to her twin sister. Lakisha’s next question is 1st Grade Astronomy and the question is:
In astronomy, what star is closest to Earth?
She gets the question right and moves on to the $25,000 question. She has to pick another student helper and picks Jacob. Her next question comes from 2nd Grade Geography.
Which country has the longest border with the U.S.?
She gets the question wrong but is saved by Jacob who comes through with the right answer. Lakisha chooses 4th Grade Math as her $50,000 question.
How many sides are there on a trapezoid?
She needs to use her last cheat and goes for a peek of Jacob’s answer. She decides to go with Jacob’s answer and gets the $50,000. Jacob’s work is done and he rejoins the class. Unfortunately, Lakisha has no more cheats and must make the rest of the money on her own. She selects 3rd Grade Reading for the $100,000 question:
True or False, fiction books are not assigned numbers in the Dewey Decimal system.
With some encouragement from her mother, Lakisha chooses her answer and the class agrees with her. She gets the $100,000 and moves on to the $175,000 question in 3rd Grade Measurements. She is asked:
How many decades are there in 2 millennia?
After some hemming and hawing, she realizes she doesn’t know the answer and takes the money she has already earned. Lakisha goes home with $100,000 but not before she has to admit to the world that she is not smarter than a 5th grader.
