Episode Quotes

George Michael: Sounds like fun.
Michael: First thing he's said all day.

G.O.B.: I need Jessie to spin something for me
Michael: What do you need her to spin?
G.O.B.: Murder ....
(Commercial Break)
Michael: Murdered, huh? Who died?
G.O.B.: My career.
Michael: I'm going home now.

Jesse: It allows me to put Michael front and centre, he needs to be the new face of this family. He is the only likeable one in the bunch, no offense.
Michael: None taken.
G.O.B.: I'm sorry. Isn't Michael the least likeable one in the family?

Michael: Okay sure she's cute, I suppose. I mean now that you're making me think about it, uh, she's cute. She's a cutie. Little cutie pie. But I never really noticed.

Narrator: Buster so excelled at being neither seen, nor heard, that he remained at the school, undetected for a full two semesters after he was supposed to graduate.

Various Characters: You can always tell a Milford Man.

Lindsay: You seem like a man of taste and class.
Man at bar: I'll give you 2,000 dollars to touch me.
(Tobias and Carl Weathers enter bar)
Linsday: Oh my God, my husband!
Man at bar: You're married to Carl Weathers? S***!

Jessie: No. There are very few intelligent, attractive and straight men in this town.
Tobias: Well, that certainly leaves me out. (laughs) She ... she said single. You did say single, correct? I --

Cultural References

Visual: “Musician sues restaurant over use of name" article in the newspaper

This is a reference to the band Arrested Development suing the television series over the use of the name Arrested Development.

Jessie: (to George Michael) Daddy lost his shot at happy, and it’s all your fault, Opie.

Opie Taylor is the son of Andy Taylor on The Andy Griffith Show. Coincidentally, Opie was played by Ron Howard who is the voice of the narrator on this series.

Lucille orders an Ike and Tina Tuna platter at Klimpy’s.

"Tina Tuna" is a pun on the singer Tina Turner.

Episode References

Aztec Tomb

G.O.B.'s signature illusion, The Aztec Tomb, first appeared in the "Pilot".

G.O.B.: (to Earl Milford) Curl up.

In "Storming the Castle", G.O.B.'s Saw the Lady in Half illusion needs two ladies who "curl up".

Klimpy's

Lucille starts a fight at Klimpy's. Klimpy's was first seen in "Visiting Ours" as a commerical with the slogan "fresh fish... straight from our freezer to your table!” while George Michael and Maeby are watching TV.

Tobias waits for the universe to give him a sign much like he did in the "Pilot".
