Michael bumps into his ex-girlfriend, Maggie Lizer, and is shocked to find out that she's pregnant. Michael soon begins to think that he's the father, which threatens his relationship with Sally. Meanwhile, Buster learns he's being deployed to Iraq and George Michael has a hard time breaking up with his girlfriend.

On The Next Arrested Development Gag: Barry gets a big break on his case, and for the first time, Lucille prays, and Buster is on his way when he decides to pursue a long-delayed rite of passage, and then a seal bites off his hand.
| FOX aired this episode, as well as Part 2, "My Hand to God", on the same night as a one hour event.
| When Buster sits on the Army bench, he covers it up part of the words with only "Arm Off" showing, foreshadowing his encounter with the seal.

Michael: First of all, it wasn’t Michael Moore. It was a Michael Moore look-alike, and it wasn’t in front of the whole country. It was for a bit on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Lucille: I don’t know who that is, and I don’t care to find out.
