Episode Notes

On The Next Arrested Development Gag: On the next season of Arrested Development: Oscar, robbed of his fingerprints, has difficulty proving his identity; Tobias and Kitty go to Vegas, only to find that his dream job has been filled; and George, Sr. turns out to be right about the effects of stress.

FOX had originaly greenlit 22 episodes for the second season, but due to lackluster ratings, cut the episode order down to 18, making this the season finale.

This episode was the winner of Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series at the 2005 Emmy's.

The song that G.O.B. sings is Bryan Adams' "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You".

Courtney Lilly, who guest stars in this episode as an engineer, is a writer for the series.

Episode Quotes

Michael: This can't be good.
Tobias: (reading from a script) Michael, it saddens me greatly to say I can no longer work here at the Bluth Company. You've been a great boss --
Michael: Wait. Tobias, Tobias...do you work here?
Tobias: Do I work here...I developed an eating disorder from being your assistant, Michael!
Michael: I never saw you at the desk.
Tobias: Well, excuse me if I was too busy on my knees in front of the toilet, Michael!

Michael: The city's sending out an inspector. They're going to be crawling over every inch of this place; you're going to need to leave.
George Sr.: Where the hell do you want me to go, Michael? Back to your mother's? I believe there's a freeloading loser in my bed.
Michael: You know, Buster's just lost a hand, dad. He's going through a lot.
George Sr.: I'm talking about Oscar
Michael: Oh, yes. Your brother. I can see why that would bug you.

George Sr.: No! I can't go back to that hellhole!
Michael: They finally got the court to try you in absentia, so you don't have to go to prison, but you can't stay here.

Michael: We’re brothers who shouldn’t be fighting. We cannot afford to lose each other, okay?
G.O.B.: I can’t. I already lost a brother today.
Michael: Franklin?
G.O.B.: Well, I didn’t lose him, but he’s all puckered and white.
Michael: On the plus side, you can take him to lunch at the club now.
G.O.B.: That’s the exact kind of joke he would have loved!

Michael: Since you’re devastating people, go ahead and tell G.O.B. that I’ll be telling the cops that it was him in the truck. So he’ll be joining me here. I’ve got a nice hard cot with his name on it.
Lucille: You’d do that to your own brother?
Michael: I said “cot.”
