Description: Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman), the level headed eldest son and sanest member of the Bluth family, decides to take a job in Arizona after he is passed over by his father, George Snr. (Jeffrey Tambor) to run the family company. After George Snr. is imprisoned for fiddling the company accounts, the family's financial assets are frozen and the over-indulged family members must adjust to their new financial status. However, years of spending without recrimination have left them unable to control or understand their finances. It is up to Michael to come back home and attempt to keep things together in his father's absence.
Michael's snobbish mother, Lucille (Jessica Walter) finds herself living alone in the family penthouse without the financial means to maintain it, while Michael's two brothers, George Oscar Bluth (Will Arnett) who prefers to be called GOB and Buster (Tony Hale), sister Lindsay (Portia de Rossi), her husband Tobias (David Cross) and their daughter Mae (Alia Shawkat), also find themselves having to adjust to the new situation…. without much success. It is up to Michael to make sure his siblings don't leave them bankrupt, but the rest of his wacky family make this job almost impossible… as well as unbearable!
