• Arrested Development gets multi-platform deal |
Fox Entertainment Group, MSN, HDNet and gaming channel G4 are giving dysfunctional family series Arrested Development a second shot at success by airing all three seasons simultaneously on high-definition television, online and basic cable.
HDNet will have an exclusive three-year HD TV window for the series, produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television and Imagine Entertainment, while MSN has picked up the exclusive portal rights to syndicate the show online for the same period.
Also as part of the deal, MSN will produce and launch a range of interactive entertainment elements to build a community for the often ferociously devoted fans of the Bluth family.
G4, meanwhile, has acquired the basic cable rights for the series for three years, starting in October.
