Episode discussion for: 06x02 | Fantasy (Oct 15, 2009)

Unfortunately I missed the first episode because the local paper is PBS unfriendly, or stupid.

I did catch this (second) episode and found it enjoyable. I especially liked Mary Heilmans work.
She was amusing and her art was interesting. At one time she sat down and unashamedly admired her own work and said "I just love this piece."

I also loved Jeff Koons work although he wasn't as an interesting person. I might add that the show was almost as much about the artist as the art.

I haven't seen the show in a while, but I saw one a couple years ago where this artist (I think he was Korean, but i could be wrong) was building these fascinating sculptures. They were little tiny sculptures of people with their arms up... like, a whole army of them, and they held up a piece of glass or Plexiglas. I can't remember how he came up with the idea, but I liked how the finished pieces came out.
