Jake and Chris convince Emily to go along with Jake's plan to trap David. Jake wants to anger David so he'll make a move, which they will trace back to him and get him locked up for good. Emily fears for Daniel's safety and decides to leave him with Tom for a while. Tom is suspicious as Emily says an emotional good-bye to Daniel. Spent, Emily declares she can't go through with the plan. Jake promises to help her get through this and encourages her to write the retraction with him. Bryant feigns sadness about his parents' breakup to Jen, who comforts him. She opens up to him about her own parents' painful breakup and it's obvious that her words affect him. Bryant confides in Jen that his parents' on-again/off-again relationship frustrates him. Jen reaches out to him, but he covers his vulnerability. Jen leaves, feeling closer than ever to Bryant, who makes plans to meet up with Abigail. At Java, Julia assures Lisa that Jack is following up on Carly's case merely as a cop. Hal confronts Isaac about his connection to Phillips. Isaac denies knowing anything about Carly or the people involved in her disappearance. Isaac taunts Jack that Carly dumped him for a better offer and Jack attacks him. Lisa overhears them mention Winston Lowe and it's obvious she recognizes the name. Julia catches up with Jack in the park and begs him to be honest about his feelings for Carly. He admits he's obsessed with solving this case and making sure that Carly's safe, but he loves Julia with all his heart. In Hong Kong, an angry Winston Lowe shreds the jacket Carly has embroidered for Parker. Winston threatens to hurt Parker if Carly tries to get away. He's trying to kill her spirit, but Carly remains strong, vowing to return to her loved ones - or die trying. She wonders why Jack hasn't contacted her.
