Emily is horrified when she receives a phone call reporting that Susan and Daniel were killed in a car accident! She is overcome with relief when Susan comes in with Daniel and both are fine. Emily realizes what she must do and begins writing an editorial urging the freeing of David Stenbeck. On the island, Lily wakes up in Simon's arms and it's evident they're attracted to each other. She sees the destruction the storm wreaked on the island, and agrees to move in with Simon for her own safety. She insists on a screen for privacy. Lily bathes and her clothes are stolen. Later, Simon's furious to discover the diamond in her jacket pocket! Celia reveals she knows that "Lily" is actually Rose and wants the diamond. The two women struggle for the gun and when Celia turns it on Rose, she admits that she gave the real Lily the diamond in Atlantic City. Celia reveals Lily is with Simon and isn't coming back. Rose is annoyed that Lily betrayed her and Lucinda intercepted her two million dollar check. Celia agrees to let "Lily" go as long as she keeps her mouth shut and heads off to get revenge on Lily and Simon. A shaken "Lily" decides since there's no Lily and no diamond, the best thing for her to do is to reconcile with Holden and take over Lily's life! At Yo's, Holden tells Katie his marriage is over, and Katie comforts him. Katie insists on driving a tipsy Holden home. Alone with Holden, Katie tries to kiss him, but he gently rejects her advances and asks her to leave. Later, "Lily" finds Holden and tells him it was all a mistake. She begs him to take her back and forget about the divorce!
