Chris visits Emily, who is still shaken by yesterday's events. Unable to convince Emily to go to the police, Chris decides to go for her! At the station, Margo warns Chris that Emily is notorious for crying wolf, but Chris continues to defend her. Emily refuses to file a report. Margo and Tom agree to keep an eye on the Chris/Emily situation and consider fighting for full custody of Daniel. Meanwhile, Chris decides to work for Emily again. After John continues to needle Ben about Andy's surgery, a fed up Ben "guarantees" that Andy will walk again. Denise is guilt-ridden when she realizes Andy is making plans for their future together. Ben assures Denise that he adores her, in spite of the situation they're stuck in. Watching the exchange from his bed, Andy gets upset. Susan warns Andy about being codependent on Denise. Later, Ben tests Andy's reflexes, but gets no response. Jack realizes that Hal has followed up on the Carly/Phillips case. He discovers that Phillips stayed at the Lakeview and faxed the same Hong Kong number that Carly faxed Jack from. Hal tries to convince Jack to back off, but Jack insists he'd never forgive himself if Carly was in trouble and he didn't help her. Jack traces the fax number to a Winston Lowe, who is part of a gambling syndicate. Julia is crushed when she comes across the report and realizes that Jack is still investigating Carly's disappearance. In Hong Kong, Carly is being held captive by someone who terrifies her maid. Lowe is revealed for the first time. He drapes an emerald and diamond necklace around Carly's neck and sensually caresses her skin.
