Episode Notes

Unlike most episodes, there's no real interaction between Ginger and the "populars", although Courtney does make a comment to Ginger just before Ginger goes on, and Miranda, Lonnie, and Mipsy are in the front row in the audience. (You can also see Heather in the front row after Ginger is finished.)

This episode also features Darren's parents. They have minor roles in the episode.

This episode features the first appearance of Dr. Dave. He has brown hair in this episode.

This episode was the first ATBG episode nominated for an Emmy for Best Animation less than 1 Hour. It lost to The Simpsons (for the episode "HOMR"). About Simpsons, see my sidenote of it and ATBG in "Lunatic Lake". At that same time, another Nick show, Invader ZIM, won an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Effort in Animation, even though one year later, for some reason, Nick decided to cancel it despite OK ratings and its Emmy win.

This is the first time Mr. Foutley's name is mentioned.

Episode Goofs

This is the first episode where Ginger's Father, Jonas Foutley, is mentioned. He sends a letter to Ginger.

The Foutley house is at 711 Forest Avenue, Sheltered Shrubs, CT 06930 (we find this out from the envelope that held the letter from Ginger's dad).

Episode References

Lois Foutley: "Will you buy a vowel already"?
Lois was referring to NBC's popular, long-running game show "Wheel of Fortune" in which the contestants have to give up money to buy vowels (A, E, I, O, U).
