During a routine mission at sea, the young waterbender-in-training Katara and her brother Sokka discover a young boy named Aang who has been frozen in an iceberg. As if that wasn't strange enough, Aang is an Air Nomad, a people thought extinct. Katara readily makes friends with Aang and invites him to camp, and although Sokka is more hesitant, he goes along with it. But is there something about the young airbender that he isn't sharing?
