After learning of the firebender Jeong Jeong, the only known firebender to desert the Fire Nation and live, Aang becomes determined to learn firebending from this deserter. Reluctantly, the taciturn Jeong Jeong accepts, and the two begin training. Jeong Jeong, however, is worried that the impatient Aang will try too much too soon. Fire, unlike the other elements, destroys if it is handled with inexperience.
