Tale of Momo:
Momo's day starts out with a dream about him and Appa eating peaches off a really big tree. Then Appa roars at him and it turns out it was a clap of thunder, which causes Momo to jump in a nearby hanging bag. When he looks up again, he finds a tuft of Appa's fur on his head, which he ties to his wrist. Momo looks out the window and sees a looming shadow about the size of a flying bison, but it was just a cloud. Then he sees a large form that looks exactly like Appa, but it was just a tree. When Momo is drinking water from a rain barrel, he accidentally frightens some lynx type cats which then in turn chase Momo through the town square. After dancing with a pair of monkeys for a little show in the center of town, Momo runs off again and he and the lynxes get captured by an animal trader. The trader is going to sell Momo and the 3 lynxes to a butcher of some sort, but Momo, having opposable thumbs, easily opens the cage. Taking pity on the lynxes who earlier were trying to eat him, he helps them escape as well. Taking refuge on a roof, one of the lynxes smells at the tuft of Appa's fur around Momo's wrist and steals it. The lynxes give chase and lead Momo to a large paw print in the dirt, that looks like one of Appa's footprints. Momo curls up in it, cuddling the tuft of fur.
