Katara readily makes friends with Aang and invites him to camp, and although Sokka is more hesitant, he goes along with it. But is there something about the young airbender that he isn't sharing?

Meanwhile, Zuko, still smarting from his earlier defeat, draws closer to Kyoshi and the Avatar.

Through a string of events, Katara unwittingly gets Haru, an earthbender, imprisoned in the jail. Determined to rescue Haru, Katara sets out to topple the Fire Nation's grip on the village.



7 :01x07 - Winter Solstice Part 1 (The Spirit World)

After learning that this creature is from "The Spirit World", Aang sets out, determined to rescue Sokka.



8 :01x08 - Winter Solstice Part 2 (Avatar Roku)

Without the power of spirits, this journey will be a hard one, and the clock is ticking.

More unfortunately, after being captured by the pirate crew, Katara learns that they aren't the only ones who want to corner the group.



10 :01x10 - Jet

The gang, especially Jet, despise the Fire Nation with a passion, and spend much of their time planning to liberate a nearby village that has been conquered by them. But is there more to Jet's plot than he is letting on?

To rescue Sokka, Aang will have to face his fears once and for all. Meanwhile, Zuko, still relentlessly pursuing Aang, faces a mutinous crew, tired of desperately chasing down the Avatar.

Will this Blue Spirit be able to make it past the Fire Nation barriers and rescue him? Is there still time to save Katara and Sokka? And who is the Blue Spirit anyway?



14 :01x14 - The Fortuneteller

When he warns the town, nobody will listen to him because they have put too much faith into the fortunetellers’ words.



15 :01x15 - Bato of the Water Tribe

Unfortunately, Aang, who never knew Bato, feels slightly left out, and begins worrying if Katara and Sokka will ever leave him. When an urgent message from Katara and Sokka's father arrives, Aang, fearing for his friendships, hides it. It's not that simple, though- sparking up his conscience, Aang begins to feel guilty. This problem is complicated even further when June, Prince Zuko's new bounty hunter, comes to capture Aang, but finds Karata and Sokka instead.



16 :01x16 - The Deserter

After learning of the firebender Jeong Jeong, the only known firebender to desert the Fire Nation and live, Aang becomes determined to learn firebending from this deserter. Reluctantly, the taciturn Jeong Jeong accepts, and the two begin training. Jeong Jeong, however, is worried that the impatient Aang will try too much too soon. Fire, unlike the other elements, destroys if it is handled with inexperience.



17 :01x17 - The Northern Air Temple

Aang, Katara and Sokka are nearing the end of their journey to the north. Along the way, they take a detour on the Northern Air Temple, counterpart to the Southern Air Temple. Surprisingly, it isn't uninhabited. A group of people, led by an eccentric inventor, have moved up to the temple to escape the claws of the Fire Nation. At first, Aang is angry at the changes made to the great temple, but over time even he begins to like it.



18 :01x18 - The Waterbending Master

Aang's journey is finally the over, the long trek across the world is completed. Arriving at the North Pole, Aang, Katara and Sokka are allowed into the Northern Water Tribe, a mighty town metropolis of interesting people, strong waterbenders, some romance for Sokka, and Pakku the waterbending master, who teaches aspiring waterbenders. Naturally, he takes on Aang as one of his pupils. However, with Katara, there are problems. Apparently, the rules of the Northern Water Tribe forbid women or girls to learn waterbending. Katara has traveled all the way here, only to be rejected. But in this case, what Pakku says isn't going to go.



19 :01x19 - The Siege of the North (1)

The Fire Nation's fleets, led by Admiral Zhao, have located the final remaining Water Tribe metropolis, and are closing in. The only problem is that the full moon may grant the waterbenders enough power to defeat them. Little does Zhao know, the injured Zuko has stowed away on his ship, determined to capture the Avatar before him and bring glory to his name. Seeking guidance and aid from the moon spirit to help defend the Northern Water Tribe, Aang enters the Spirit World.



20 :01x20 - The Siege of the North (2)

Back in the physical world, Zuko successfully kidnaps Aang's body but must wait out a snow storm before taking him to the Fire Nation. Meanwhile, Zhao, who knows where to find the moon spirit's physical form, sets out to kill it, hoping it will strip the waterbenders of their waterbending.

Meanwhile, Zuko and Iroh are visited by Azula, Zuko's sister, who tells them they are finally going home. However, Iroh is suspicious.



22 :02x02 - The Cave of Two Lovers

Meanwhile, Iroh gets a lethal rash and so he and Zuko head to a small Earth Kingdom town for help, hoping their real identities will not be discovered.

Meanwhile, outside, Toph struggles to protect Appa from sandbenders who want to steal him.

Jet's friends are disappointed that he's so obsessed with catching them, and set out to make a better life for themselves.

With his new found knowledge he leads them to a facility hidden under Lake Laogai, where he believes the Dai Lee is holding Appa. Meanwhile, Uncle Iroh's now famous tea brew gets him and Zuko their own tea shop, and an apartment in the Upper Ring of Ba Sing Se. Meanwhile he bonds with a girl from his class, making Katara a bit jealous. Elsewhere, Zuko confronts Iroh in jail, but doesn't get the response he was looking for.

Meanwhile, "sparky sparky boom man" catches up with the gang.

After discovering people have been mysteriously going missing after going into the woods during a full moon the gang suspects the spirits may have a hand in it, however the truth shocks them. Meanwhile, the elderly woman teaches Katara a few waterbending techniques, one of which she does not approve of.

In order to discover the true, original source of firebending, him and Aang travel to the ruins of the Sun Warrior Tribe, which consisted of the first humans to learn firebending. Once there, they quickly discover they are not alone.

Once there they discover that war prisoners are not sent to Boiling Rock, but are happy to find Suki. They hatch a plan to escape but must second guess it when the time comes, as they find a new batch of prisoners are arriving the next day, one of whom may be Hakoda.

After learning that the gang assumed they could face the Firelord after Sozin's Comet had passed, Zuko reveals to them that it must be done before the comet arrives, as Firelord Ozai plans to use it's power to wipe out the earthbenders completely just as Firelord Sozin did to the airbenders a hundred years ago. To make matters worse, the comet is arriving in three days. Aang begins to struggle with the fact that he will have to kill Ozai in order to stop him, something he feels he cannot do. In the middle of the night he awakens in a trance, and swims out to a nearby island. Unable to find Aang the next morning, the gang travels to the Earth Kingdom to find June, who they know can help track him down. Elsewhere, knowing that after the Earth Kingdom is finally destroyed he will rule the entire world, Ozai appoints Azula the new Firelord, and gives himself a new title; "The Phoenix King".



59 :03x19 - Sozin's Comet, Part 2: The Old Masters

On the island, Aang seeks guidance from his past lives, but is not happy with their advice. Soon after he discovers that he is not on an island at all, but on the back of a Lion Turtle, whose advice aids him greatly.

Both groups find their tasks harder than they expected. Meanwhile, Aang faces off with Ozai, but finds himself overwhelmed by the immense power he has gained from Sozin's Comet. Elsewhere, the Order of the White Lotus battles for the freedom of Ba Sing Se.
