BBC Cardiff Singer Of The World 2011

BBC Cardiff Singer Of The World 2011 is presented by Petroc Trelawny, Josie D'Arby, Jonathan Lemalu and Mary King. Each night Five different singers battle it out in front of a live audience at St David's Hall, Cardiff, for a place in the final of BBC Cardiff Singer Of The World 2011. The finalists then perform one last time in an effort to be crowned the series champion. Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Marilyn Horne, Hakan Hagegard, Lorenzo Mariani, Dennis O'Neill and Alexander Polianichko and chairman John Fisher form the jury. Six hundred opera and concert singers auditioned for a place in the competition with just twenty making through to this stage of the competition.
