Episode Notes |
| |
This episode and the second part are both known as "Batman Beyond: The Movie." | Kevin Conroy reprises his role as Bruce Wayne from Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Gotham Knights, and Superman The Animated Series. | Bruce Timm and Paul Dini were given a green light right when they pitched the idea without any test footage. | Batman Tomorrow was to be the original title for the series, but for promotional reasons, the title was changed to Batman Beyond. | Bunny Vreeland is the daughter of Veronica Vreeland. | Tomorrow Knight and B-2 were possible names for Batman Beyond. | Bruce Timm says that Batman Beyond is set 50 years into the future. | When the Wayne-Power's Building is first shown, the gold building to the left is adorned with the Chinese character 悪. It is read as 'e' or 'wu' (the Japanese say it as 'o' or 'aku') and can mean evil or hate. |

Bruce: I was Batman. | Warren McGinness: (to Terry) That's your problem right there! You can't control your temper. | Dana: (to Chelsea) If the coach had us do one more lap... I'd be sprouting gills. | Dana: I thought you were in solitary...

Analysis |
| |
Batman's reaction upon holding a gun to a thug is because he vowed never to use a gun to fight crime. His realization that he needed the weapon to overcome his adversary is doubtless part of the reason why he hung up the cape. |
