Episode Quotes
Shriek: (to Derek) It's a neglected sense, hearing. And it really shouldn't be. Because all too often our first warning of danger is sound.

Shriek: See Mr. Powers, just an illusion.
Derek Powers: I knew that.
Shriek: Sure.

Derek Powers: What makes it different from an old boom-box?
Shriek: Bigger boom.

Terry: How'd it go?
Bruce: The way I wanted.

Batman: Earthquake?
Bruce: Not like any I've ever been in.
Batman: Well, whatever it is, I can think of better places to be.

Terry: And while you're here, I'll figure out who the guy in the suit was.
Bruce: So you're a detective now?
Terry: Been watching you long enough.

Shriek:How was I supposed to know Batman was there?
Derek: Batman's everywhere nowadays. Everywhere.

Terry: Computer, analyze the metal this thing's made of. Computer?
Computer: Incorrect command.
Terry: Uhh, do the thing where you figure out what it's made of.
Computer: Request for spectrographic analysis.
Terry: Yeah, that's it, what you said.

Shriek: (to Terry) You wanna know about sound vibrations? Wanna see how they can split your skull?

Terry: What happened? Is he all right?
Nurse: He's in the psych ward, he began hearing voices.
Terry: Voices?
Derek: Age can do tragic things to a person, But he's going to be in the best of hands... mine.

Derek Powers: Who else can take care of his affairs? He has no wife, no children.
Terry: Me. I could do it.
Derek Powers: Awfully young, aren't you?
Terry: Awfully slimy, aren't you?

Derek: You should be feeling fine, anyway.
Shriek: And why is that?
Derek: Because your costume gives you power. Real power. Ever had that before?
Shriek: No. Not really.
Derek: It's no small thing, trust me.

Terry: Tell me something. Why where you so sure those voices weren’t coming from you?
Bruce: Well first, I know I’m not psychotic.
Terry: I hope your other reason is more convincing.
Bruce: And second, the voice kept calling me Bruce. In my mind, that’s not what I call myself.
Terry: What do you call yourself? Oh yeah, I suppose you would. But that’s my name now.
Bruce: Hmm. Tell that to my subconscious.

Analysis
Shreeve/Shriek:

We get a nice little word play with those two names. They both sound alike.
