  Episode Quotes
Shriek: (to Derek) It's a neglected sense, hearing. And it really shouldn't be. Because all to often our first warning of danger is sound.

Shriek: See Mr. Powers, just an alliusion.
Derek Powers: I knew that.
Shriek: Sure.

Derek Powers: (to Shriek) What makes it different from an old boom-box?
Shriek: Bigger boom.

Terry: How'd it go?
Bruce: Exactly as I wanted it.
Terry: Must have been pretty important to get you to come out of the house in broad daylight.

(Bruce and Terry are walking through a very old neighborhood.)
Terry: Why spend it on this? It's old. Who cares?
Bruce: I do. That theater, it's where my parents and I went when they...

Batman: Earthquake?
Bruce: Not like any I've ever been in.
Batman: Well, whatever it is, I can think of better places to be.

(Shriek shows up)
Terry: You know this guy?
Bruce: Sorry, not one of mine.

Nurse: Now Mr. Wayne, you know that you need to---
Bruce: I said get out!
Nurse: (Bruce throws the tray out the door.) Aah! (Looks at Terry.) You can go in... If you want to.

Bruce: (to Terry) Can you beleive it? They want to keep me here overnight!

Bruce: (to Terry) So, you're a detective now?
Terry: I've been watching you long enough.

Shriek: (to Derek) How was I supposed to know Batman was there?
Derek: Batman's everywhere nowadays. Everywhere.

Terry: Computer, anaylise the metal this thing is made of. Computer?
Computer: Incorrect command.
Terry: Uh... do the thing where you find out what it is made of.

Terry: ... and the old man said I couldn't do this stuff on my own.

Bruce: Go away! I don't want to hear you anymore.

Nurse: (to Bruce) Uh... I think that you should get back into bed.

Shriek: (to Terry) You wanna know about sound vibrations? Wanna see how they can split your skull?

Terry: What happened? Is he alright?
Nurse: He's in the phsye ward, he began hearing voices.
Terry: Voices?
Derek: Age can do tragic things to a person, But he's going to be in the best of hands... mine.

Derek: (to Terry) Alfy young, aren't you?
Terry: Alfy slimy, aren't you.
Derek: Careful, the courts are very strict about slander.
Terry: Let's see how they handle assault. (tackles Derek.)

Bruce: They think I'm crazy...
Terry: We'll talk about that when we get home.

Terry: Tell me something, why where you so sure the voices weren’t coming from you.
Bruce: Well first, I’m not psychotic.
Terry: I hope your other reason is more convincing.
Bruce: And second, the voices kept calling me Bruce… In my mind, that’s not what I call myself.
Terry: What do you call yourself…? Oh yeah, I suppose you would… but that’s my name now.
Bruce: Tell that to my subconscious.

  Analysis
Shreeve/Shriek:

We get a nice little word play with those two names. They both sound alike.
